Final version of AROS Vision for UAE
Olaf Schönweiß writes: "I have published the final version of AROS Vision for UAE on my website. AROS Vision is based on AROS 68k and combines AROS components with software from the Amiga world, e.g. applications, GUIs and libraries. In addition, the Wanderer, Magellan and Scalos desktops are integrated. You can switch between them. The integration of common Amiga solutions creates a convenient solution. A selection of the new features and characteristics:
- from AROS: Network, RTG (cybergraphX), USB (Poseidon), MUI (Zune), AHI, Windows outside of the visible screen area, Themeing, XAD/XFD (Packer)
- WHDLoad (aros ROMs preinstalled, works with a lot of Slaves)
- Up-to-date Datatypes (24bit)
- DiskImage Device (mount ADF und ISO images)
- a lot of libraries added
- a lot of filetypes added (show or play them via doubleclick or context menus)
- time syncrhonisation
- IMP3 integrated
- radiostreams (Tunefinder)
- using Hollywood for various features like displaying TEX or PDF
- large number of commodities and tools preinstalled
- tons of online help files simply accessible via ALT-H
- file format specific context menus with many predefined options, like converting between formats
- open or extract archives via a doubleclick
- Wanderer, Magellan and Scalos desktops are included. you can switch between these desktops
- ...and a lot more
