Video: High-density disk drives in the Amiga and how they work
The new YouTube tech video "Commodore vs. Clone: High Density Floppy Drive Showdown" by RobSmithDev compares how Commodore implemented high-density floppy support in the Amiga and how a third-party manufacturer achieved the same goal in its drive in a completely different way.

This video clearly shows the technical "hack" Commodore used to make HD floppy disks readable and explains the differences in signal processing and hardware logic between the two approaches. It also outlines how data is fundamentally encoded and stored on floppy disks. (nba)
