AmigaOS 4: Serious Sam port in the works
Following the MorphOS port by Bruno 'BeWorld' Peloille and Szilárd 'BSzili' Biró, Steffen Häuser is currently working on an implementation of Serious Sam for AmigaOS 4, which will be made available at OS4Depot also free of charge. The CD of the PC version of the game is required. Ported are the first two parts from 2001 and 2002: The First Encounter and The Second Encounter.

A (very) stable beta version would already exist, and interested further testers are welcome to make contact by e-mail. The first-person shooter would be running "super smoothly" on an AmigaOne X1000, with tests on Sam4x0 computers still to follow. However, it does not run in emulation under QEmu due to the required 3D hardware. On the software side, NovaBridge is expected to be required, as it would run under GL4ES but look "unattractive", at least at present. (snx)

He also mentions that these exhibits have been reorganized and are now presented even more impressively.

TPUG Magazine is looking for Amiga-related submissions
Dr. Myles Skinner writes: "I normally hang out with the C64 folks, but I'm hoping to reach our Amiga friends. The venerable old Toronto PET Users Group (TPUG) has asked me to go ahead and post a small announcement: We're thrilled to announce that the TPUG magazine is returning and will be available in print for the first time in ages at World of Commodore 2025.

We have a little extra room for a couple more articles, so we're accepting proposals. Because of the Amiga's 40th birthday, we would especially like to have Commodore Amiga-related submissions. If you have an idea for an article, please send your proposal to tpug_magazine@tierceron.com.

To keep up with all the latest news on the magazine's relaunch, be sure to visit our website. I'm the editor of this beast, so if there are any questions, I'll do my best to answer." (cg)

Platformer: Bouncy Bonzo's Space Journey (AGA)
In "Bouncy Bonzo's Space Journey" (video), the aim is to guide the constantly bouncing character Bonzo through 17 levels spread across three worlds, with bosses and bonus levels also featured. The title, created with the Scorpion engine, requires an AGA Amiga with at least 0.5 MB of Fast RAM and a hard drive or CD drive, although progress cannot be saved with the latter. On joysticks and joypads with two independent fire buttons, the second button is used for jumping.

Configurations with a Pistorm or (quote) 'similar, "modern" Amigas' may experience unspecified problems. "Bouncy Bonzo's Space Journey" is available for download for USD 7.50 at itch.io. (cg)
