Event: 30th Amiga anniversary in Mountain View (USA)
On July 23rd, 1985, the Amiga was introduced for the first time. For that reason, a celebration will take place in the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, which was Jay Miner's last place of residence.

AmigaOS 4 / MorphOS: E-UAE 0.8.29-PPC-JIT beta version 4
Álmos Rajnai's integration of a just-in-time-compiler into the Amiga emulator E-UAE for PowerPC-systems was updated. The fourth beta version fixes further bugs.
The version of the author does not support G5-systems but Fabien 'Fab' Coeurjoly has announced, after beta version 3, to compile a version for MorphOS as soon as possible.

Writing Amiga disks under Windows: ADTWin 1.0
With the help of a PC disk drive, which is connected with a self-made cable to the parallel port of a PCs, the Windows programm ADTWin writes ADF-images on Amiga disks. It takes approximately 37s per disk. It is not possible to read disks.

Linux distribution: AmiPUP 1.1.0
Following public availability for AmiKit (amiga-news.de reported), AmiPUP has been updated to version 1.1.0 and is at the same time available separately from that Amiga distribution now.
AmiPUP is a Linux Live CD of less than 180 MB and based on Slacko Puppy Linux 5.7. It's purpose is to be a portable host for AmiKit, Amiga Forever or any other emulated Amiga/AROS system.
