Event: AmiWest 2012 will last one day longer (18.-21. October, Sacramento)
This year the AmiWest will last four days: The first two days of the annual Amiga meeting in Sacramento will be about Amiga software. Further details are still not known - but it will be discussed that there are only few applications for AmigaOS 4.

MorphOS: MPlayer 1.0 (2012.04.18) updated
Fabien 'Fab' Coeurjoly has updated his version 1.0 (2012.04.18) of his MorphOS-port of MPlayer. He wrote:
"I just reuploaded it to fix a ffmpeg bug : it was inconditionally using altivec in sample format conversion routine. It prevented mplayer from working on non-altivec machines when the routine was used."
