MorphOS: Lua meets ARexx
Grzegorz Kraszewski's ipc.module is a new MorphOS-specific extension for his port of the scripting language Lua. The MorphOS port, which just reached version 0.5, is highly customized one and very well integrated with the operating system.
The purpose of ipc.module is to interface Lua with ARexx ports in applications. Sending ARexx commands and receiving results in Lua scripts is now very easy.
A proof of concept included to the archive is a Lua version of "love.rx" script from TVPaint. It may be executed with exactly the same result as the original one's, but a bit faster. It also shows that legacy 68k applications may be scripted in Lua as well as PPC native ones.

AmigaOS 4: GfxBench2D
Hans de Ruiter's GfxBench2D is a benchmarking tool for 2D graphics and also a web-app for displaying results uploaded by the benchmarking tool, giving opportunity to see some real data on graphics card performance for a wide range of graphics cards and AmigaOS 4 systems
Some results are already available at the title link. For example the Radeon X1950 Pro, being the last high performance card to include a dedicated 2D blitter unit, is currently leading the benchmark table.
