Resurrected Commodore: "Amiga is also on our radar"
Under the leadership of influencer Christian "Perifractic" Simpson, the Commodore brand is back in business, including 47 original Commodore trademarks, which have now been acquired by the newly founded Commodore International Corporation (amiga-news.de reported). The first commercial product of the new era is the C64 Ultimate Edition, an FPGA-based replica of the popular 8-bit computer. In a recent tweet on X, Simpson emphasizes that the Amiga is "also on the radar" of the company – an indication that future projects related to the Amiga and possibly collaborations with companies active in the Amiga market are not out of the question, without giving any specific details.

Game announcement: Isometric arcade adventure game Lumo
For over a year now, we have reported on several occasions about a game project initiated by Nivrig Games: the porting of an isometric arcade adventure game to the Amiga. Now Thalamus Digital and the developer have announced that this is the porting of the game Lumo.
According to Nivrig Games, the Amiga port is about 50% complete, with over 200 rooms and 50 different object types to interact with (latest preview video). However, he cannot yet give an exact release date. Developer diaries are published regularly on Thalamus Digital's Patreon page.
The game currently runs with 32 colours on an A500 with 1 MB of chip RAM. The final version will probably require 2 MB of total RAM.

Encryption protocol: AmiSSL 5.22 (AmigaOS 3/4)
Version 5.22 of the open source encryption protocol AmiSSL has been released, which is now based on the latest version 3.5.2 (5.8.2025) of OpenSSL.
