IRC client: WookieChat 2.7 Beta 27
James 'jahc' Carroll has released a new beta version of his MUI based IR client WookieChat,
the latest changes are listed at the
changelog.
WookieChat is available for all Amiga systems.

Ars Technica: A history of the Amiga, part 5
The fifth part of his English history of Amiga Jeremy Reimer has dedicated to the problems which the Amiga had faced to during his introduction.
In his serie the author wants to explain what the Amiga was, what it meant to his developers and users a why it had so much influence to the computer industry although it was not very well-known.

PowerPoint-viewer: PointRider Status-Update
The PointRider-Autor notifies, that the release which was planed for the autum, is now planed for the beginning of 2008, but therefore with serveral new changes.
The Author revised the PointRider-Roadmap and the Blog to provide a preview about the status.

Michal "rzookol" Zukowski provides two new classes for the Multimedia-library Reggae: jpeg.decoder and jpeg.demuxer are to work with JPEG-Pictures (24 Bit, 8 Bit grey, CMYK).

German catalog files for strangé and VisualGuide
Hans-Jörg Ottinger has created German catalog files for the AmigaGuide and HTML viewer strangé and VisualGuide, a program that converts directory listings to HTML or AmigaGuide format.
Furthermore, already at the beginning of the month, the German catalogs were updated for the messenger program AmiGG, the RSS display program AmiRSS, the Shell replacement MUICon, the personal organizer PolyOrganizer, the graphical user interface TDmplayerGUI and the IRC program WookieChat.
