Event: Further details on Kickstart UK show 2024 (Nottingham)
As reported in December, the second edition of Kickstart UK will take place in Nottingham on June 29-30, 2024. More information on the event is now available at the title link - 18 retailers, 10 community groups, 5 speakers and 5 performers will be attending.

Anniversary: 10 years of Kultmags.com
Under the entry dated April 5, 2024, Klaus Sommer looks back on the tenth anniversary of his website kultmags.com at the title link. Kultmags preserves computer and video game magazines in German language of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s digitized for posterity with the permission of the rights holders.

Game: Hack and Slay
In this simple Amiga conversion of the mailbox game "Hack and Slash", the aim is to explore five levels with a stick figure. AmigaOS 3.x and 1 MB RAM are required.

Artikel: Sampling sound on the Amiga
An Amiga has stereo line-out connectors that allow it to play audio, but normally no audio inputs. In order to record sound with the Amiga, additional hardware had to be purchased. This article by Edwin van den Oosterkamp describes an example of such hardware, the "Sampling Cartridge" for the Amiga, which is also available as Open Source project.
