Emulation: "SheepShaver" Emulates a MacIntosh PPC on x86
"Sheepshaver" is the first Mac emulator for x86 PCs capable of emulating PPC-based Macintoshes. The software currently emulates a 604 CPU, requires a ROM image from a PCI-based "Old World" Macintosh, and works with MacOS up to version 8.6. Sheepshaver is Open Source, and right now only a Linux version is available.
The program's homepage
is currently just a clean building space, with a files section in which you can get the sources for the current version.
On emaculation.com there's a support forum for the emulator. Those interested will find there a few hints for the use of the software, and there are also ready-compiled binaries there for download.
