Software: MiniShowPicture V1.35 released
Of the program MiniShowPicture by Pawel "Stefkos" Stefanski version 1.35 for MorphOS and Amiga-68k is now available.
'MiniShowPicture' is a simple, MUI based picture viewer that uses datatypes. It includes functions like Drag&Drop, scaling and shortcuts.

OpenPCI library 1.2 released
The OpenPCI library, a library offering a programming interface for different available PCI solutions (Amithlon,
G-Rex, Pegasos, Prometheus), has been released in version 1.2.
The changes since the last version:
- MorphOS: optimizations for faster processors (604e or better)
- Amithlon: support for powerpci.library 2.x added (v2.x is now required)
- Amithlon (bugfix): two register values had been exchanged
- G-Rex (bugfix): pci_outw/l() and pci_write_config_word/long() hadn't worked until now
- G-Rex (bugfix): error in the interrupt code removed

CCC: central saving of biometrical data endangers constitutional rights
The approach of the "Bund Deutscher Kriminalbeamten" (BDK) to save biometrical
characteristics of all European citizens in a central data base causes hardest reservations at the Chaos Computer Club (CCC);
the constitutional rights of informational self-determination would then be abolished in a fundamental area - while the use for the combating of crime isn't even proofed.
