Virus Help Denmark

Virus Help Denmark: WatchDog 2.7
On 16 February 2002 Zbigniew Trzcionkowski released version 2.7 of his memory surveillance tool 'WatchDog'. Compared to version 2.5 the following modifications have been made.
  • added checking of some BCPL stuff (which is totally harmless since os37+ anyways).
    • CallGVptr - ROM check
    • EndGVptr - ROM check
    • GlobVecTable - checksumming, that should detect patches of any GV based viri including imaginary ones like GlobVec144 ;) Thanks to Thomas Richter and Holger Hippenstiel for information about GV that helped me a lot...
  • added new tooltype 'NoGlobVec' to skip tests described above - it is already set in the icon as nobody beside me needs these checks!
  • added notification of LIBS:xvs.library
  • added some additional stuff to tc_launch/tc_switch checker
  • changed timing routine
  • ToolTypes: NoSwitch and NoLaunch are no longer debug only :P
  • kicked bonus stuff due to lack of users' interest
more ... (sd) (Translation: sr)

Olaf Köbnik (E-Mail)

Amiga Arena: Status and interviews with N. Blachford and D. Westerberg (Update)
Amiga Arena - status report
In his status report Olaf Köbnik makes a personal statement about the current situation of Amiga Arena. It seems that he doesn't want to give up his activities completely, he just wants to cut them down a little.

Amiga Arena - interview with Nicholas Blachford
Recently Amiga Arena has drawn attention to the sources of the sampler software Aural Illusion. Its further development has been authorized by the author Nicholas Blachford. Amiga Arena's interview with the ex-Amiga developer is by far the most comprehensive interview in the history of Amiga Arena and full of really interesting statements. At the moment the interview is available online in English.

Amiga Arena - interview with Daniel Westerberg
Apart from Stefan Blixth also Daniel Westerberg belongs to OnyxSoft. Programs such as MultiRen, Detris or DRemind are very popular. The interview with Daniel Westerberg is available under German and English.

Update 18.02.2002:
The interview with Nicholas Blachford there is now available also in German. (ps) (Translation: sr)
