The author asks that these versions not be used for public reviews or similar, as they are often poorly tested and contain features that have not yet been fully implemented. However, as updates for the stable branch of the game can only be released at longer intervals, the author hopes to receive feedback for planned or already partially implemented features by testing the developer versions.
