Installer: New packets for WHDLoad (until 16.10.2001)
Games which have been previously made for disks can be now installed to harddrive with the help of WHDLoad. The following packets have been added or updated:

- 16.10.01 new: Thunder Jaws (Tengen/Domark) done by CFOU!
- 16.10.01 new: Side Winder (Arcadia Software) done by CFOU!
- 16.10.01 new: Scramble Spirits (Grandslam/Teque) done by Bored Seal
- 16.10.01 improved: Project X (Team 17) automatic load/save highscores
- 16.10.01 new: Joyride (Phenomena) done by Psygore
- 16.10.01 new: Peter Beardsley's International Football (Teque/Grandslam) done by Codetapper
- 16.10.01 fixed: Navy Seals (Ocean) graphics problem fixed
- 16.10.01 fixed: Jumping Jack Son (Infrogrames) highscores and some gfx fixed
- 16.10.01 new: Barbarian 2 (Psygnosis/Pandemonium) done by CFOU!
- 16.10.01 new: Banshee (Core Design) done by JOTD

Golem: IBM introduces 1 GHz PowerPC-processor
»Power consumption lowered at 50 percent, efficiency incresed at 30 percent
At the microprocessor forum in California IBM has introduced its previously fastest PowerPC-processor called PowerPC 750FX. It is supossed to have a clock rate up to 1 GHz and for the first time is supoosed to unify copper cable, Silicon-on-Insulator-(SoI-) and low-k-dialectric-technologies in one chip.«
