AmigaDE: playsound V0.96 Beta
Patrick Roberts released 'playsound' for the AmigaDE SDK v1.1.
Playsound plays audio samples and supports all AVE-CNV formats.

AMI Sector One: Update with additional games
Bernd Gmeineder wrote:
'Paradox Software' and 'Hartwerk' are two more companies allowing us to
make their software available for free at AMI Sector One. Some of the
games and applications, which now can be legally downloaded, are 'ST-Protector',
'War Zone', and the translation software 'Translate It'. Beside of these there
is also Ed Scio's futuristic flight simulation 'Armour-Geddon'. Various interesting
public domain games and new Emerald Mine clones round out this little update.

AmiWest 2001: 9 minuts movie from the show
On http://emrl.com/amiwest/ a 9 minutes movie from the
AmiWest 2001 show was released. This movie shows the responsiveness to AmigaOS x86, views on
the Boxer, AmigaDE programming, Amiga tatoos, and SOCK PUPPETS.

Workbench: Scalos Beta V40.8
On 4. August 2001 beta version 40.8 of the alternative Workbench 'Scalos' was
released. This release in particular fixes several bugs and makes it easier to
handle the different preferences formats of Scalos.
