Golem: The world of Voodoo-graphic Boards is Open to Amiga
»From now on all Voodoo-graphic boards in Elbox Mediator PCI busboard are usable for Amiga
The Amiga-hardware producer Elbox has completed the "Voodoo.card ver. 1.0 driver" for its Mediator PCI
bus boards. This driver makes possible the use of all obtainable PCI-Voodoo-graphic boards - up to Voodoo5 5500 PCI -
on Amiga-1200-computers which are extended with Mediator.
There has been a driver for Voodoo3-PCI-graphic boards and corresponding Mediator-bundles since the last year
but now also the other Voodoo-graphic boards can be used: Voodoo Banshee 8 MB, Voodoo3 2000/3000 16 MB, Voodoo4 4500 32 MB and
Voodoo5 5500 64 MB. The driver which has been developed by Elbox itself are supposed to offer full
hardware acceleration but which is restricted to 24-bit-graphic mode at Voodoo4-and Voodoo5-graphic boards.«

Heise: Google Purchases Deja.com's Usenet-Archive
»Google, carrier of the web searching machine of same denominator,
took over Deja.com's usenet archive. Beside of the usenet database of
the news groups in Internet Google purchased the names deja.com and dejanews.com, too.
Both of the partners keep silence about the price. Who tries to visit the Deja.com homepage
at www.deja.com is already forwarded to the beta version of Google's usenet search.«
