New DirectDos Demo Available
Marius Schwarz wrote:
It has been announced for a long time: DirectDos (the new Workbench feeling) is available in a improved
version with many new functions and many bug fixes. The new functions are for example remember, iconifying,
new rename functions, and much more. Remember starts the DirectDos-tasks automatically again after rebooting the computer,
which helps you to continue to work no matter if the reset was your intention or a crash
of the system.
But the best of all is lower price: Instead of paying 50 DM for the program it now costs only
30 DM from version 1.02.
Please download the demo from the Aminet or my website. This one will move to a new server in the next
time. Therefore the programm is possibly not available all the time. The link will be the same.

UniView V40.8 Update
Stefan Ruppert wrote:
At my homepage I have uploaded version 40.8 of UniView. UniView is a full replacement for MultiView.
It is now possible to open several files simultaneously. Each file will be displayed in a seperate
window. Furthermore I have improved opening a seperate screen which therefore works now with several
windows open. But this function is still improvable.

Statement on Milan II
Even other systems (in this case Atari user) have to face disappointments. Milan II was put on hold.
One now wants to make the operating system Atari-TOS (incl. MagiC) hardware independent by means of
Linux. Then programs will be coded for one time and will run everywhere, which sure appears to be
well known to Amiga users. Here some extract from the statement by Milan Computer, which is to read
as full length (German) at the title link:
