AROS: Beta version of Icaros Desktop 2.2.2 for supporters

Data backup: Quarterback source code released
Under the title link the source code of the backup program Quarterback has been released on Aminet under the GPL. Olaf Barthel did analyze it and recommends to use partitions with less than four gigabytes "with the partitions residing completely within the first 4 Gigabytes of a storage medium".

MorphOS: PkZIP-GUI InstantZip 3.3
Carsten Siegner's InstanzZip (screenshot) is a graphical user-interface for PkZIP as well as in version 3.3 for the xad.library of MorphOS as well. Therefore now it is possible to extract archives which were compressed with RAR, LHA, BZIP2 or other algorithms.

Interview: Predecessor to Blender was developed on the Amiga
In an interview Ton Roosendaal, the original author of the open source raytraycer Blender, explained how the predecessor of his program was developed on the Amiga. As a little gift the Amiga software named "Traces" including the source code is provided at the end of the article.

FPGA: Apollo-Core-Update Gold 2.8 / SAGA driver 1.2
