Games competition: Participants of the "AmiGameJam 2016"
Six games have been registered for the programming competition "AmiGameJam 2016" which was started in December. They now can be downloaded from the website of the organizers. The winner will be selected by an online voting, completed by the jurors Trevor Dickinson (A-EON) and Dan Wood (The Retro Hour gaming podcast). Further information will be given during the next days. Laser upgrade for Amiga mice (Update)
Having been unsatisfied with the accuracy of his old Amiga 500 mouse, Jesús de la Torre developed a replacement board which turns the Amiga mice of Commodore and Amiga Technologies into optical mice with a resolution of (according to the retailer) 8500 dpi. An ADNS 9800 laser sensor is used that - together with a matching covering - replaces the original mouse.

From March 22nd the laser upgrade is supposed to be commercially available.
