Carsten Siegner's Calimero "is a powerfull DTP program" which now also can handle spreedsheets (screenshot).
Calimero also can import (XLS beta) and export Excel files (as modern XLSX file) (screenshot) or save and open whole workbooks in CALS format (screenshot).
