Video: AmigaOS 4.1 booting on the Tabor-Board
Under the title link, Hyperion Entertainment has released a video of an early development version of a port of AmigaOS 4.1 to the Tabor board ("AmigaOne 1222").

AROS: EdiSyn 0.55 and Mapparium 0.7 for ARM
Marcus Sackrow's text editor EdiSyn for AROS offers tabs and syntax highlighting for C/C++, Pascal, HTML and Hollywood. Version 0.55 for the first time and exclusively is available for ARM-based AROS-systems, which now remebers recently opened files.
The OpenStreetMap viewer Mapparium has been also released for ARM.

Visual effects Pioneer: Ron Thornton died
"After a short battle with liver disease" Ron Thornton died on 21. November 2016. He was 59. Together with Paul Beigle-Bryant, he was one of the pioneers using computers for creating visual effects for space films.
His animations created on an Amiga with the videotoaster and Newteks LightWave 3D have had a formative influence on the TV serie "Babylon 5". For the pilot of this serie, "The Gathering", in 1993 he received the Emmy, the most important award for TV in USA.

Game Construction Kit: RedPill 0.4.4 (alpha)
RedPill is a Game Construction Kit written in AmiBlitz2, which is supposed to help developing games of diverse genres - released videos show ports of Pacman and Pang. RedPill is compatible to AGA and ECS, the "player" for running the finished games requires 1 MB Chip as well as some Fast-RAM.
