SketchBlock: Fractal generator available
The fractal generator for Andy Broad's graphic programm SketchBlock now is sold as a separate programm. It can create single pictures and animations from traditional Mandelbrot and Julia Mengen sets to more complex hybrid images (screenshot).

KMTech Design: AmiPad 32 and wireless Amiga mouse Typhoon
Following the adapter for Playstation control pads Cyclone RX (amiga-news.de reported), british developer KMTech Design has added a control pad for the Amiga CD³² and a rechargeable wireless optical mouse for the Amiga (and Atari: switchable by two jumpers) to its products.
In specialised Amiga shops, these retrofitted devices can be also purchased at Amedia. The trader has a retail store in Courcelles-Chaussy, located in the french-german-luxembourgian border region. (snx)

AROS: 68k-Distribution AROS Vision 2.6.1
In version 2.6.1 of his AROS/68k-distribution AROS Vision, Olaf Schönweiß uses MUI 3.8 instead of the AROS-implementation Zune (screenshot). Additionally, the MMU libraries and components as well as some files for developers (e.g. Pascal and AmiLua) have been updated.
Please note that some of the preferences only work with Zune, mainly Locale and Input. If you want to change these preferences, you can copy the Zune-version of the muimaster.library to Libs: and afterwards return to the original version (all required libraries are in the directory Libs:MUI_Change).
It is also recommended to install the Installer 43.3 of Amiga Technologies in directory C:.

Since the end of May version 1.7.0 of AmiKit, which is an AmigaOS-distribution for UAE-users, is available on an USB-stick. Now this version can be downloaded for free. The AmiPUP-Live-Boot version only is available for registered users of the USB-stick.

A-EON Technology takes over amiga.org (update)
For several hours the copyright entry of amiga.org websites has been listing a new owner: "Amiga.org and logo Copyright © 2014, A-EON Technology Ltd". Besides, the users Trevor 'TrevorDick' Dickinson and Matthew 'amigakit' Leaman are administrators.
An official confirmation of the old or new owner is still missing but one of the moderators of amiga.org has already confirmed the change.

Adapter for Playstation controller: Cyclone RX at ebay.uk
The British company KMTech offers a adapter for connecting a Playstation 1/2 controller to an Amiga at ebay.co.uk. Two push-buttons, autofire and fast autofire mode called "Rapidfire" are emulated. Additionally the controller button R2 (front right down) let you jump in Jump'n Run games.
The additional buttons of a CD32-joypad obviously are not emulated. Cyclone RX is advertised by "works with all models of Commodore Amiga" but using an A600 it might be necessary to adapt the adapter due to the limited space. The adapter costs £24.99 (about 31 Euro) plus about 2,95 Euro for shipping.

Linux: Kernel 3.15 for Sam4x0-boards and 3.14.6 for AmigaOne X1000
For the AmigaOne X1000 as well as for the PowerPC-boards Sam440ep and Sam460ex (with the Flex and Lite versions), the Linux-kernel 3.14.6 has been released. For the Sam4x0-boards there is also version 3.15 available, which still causes some problems on the board of A-EON Technology .

AROS: Genesi moves to new location
According to Bill Buck and Raquel Velasco, their company Genesi USA, Inc. will move from Austin, Texas, to Washington D.C. on July 1st. For this reason, the post address of power2people.org, which is used to collect donations for several AROS-projects, will change as well.

GUI-Toolkit: MUI 3.9 for AmigaOS 3
Press release: The MUI for AmigaOS development team is proud to announce the emmediate release of version 3.9-2014R1 of the Magic User Interface for AmigaOS3/m68k. Please find the release archive in our download section.
This is the first release of MUI since MUI 3.8. At least a 68020 CPU is required. A faster CPU and a graphic board is highly recommended. Additionally MUI 3.9 will make use of 3rd party system extensions like AfAOS.
Like all former releases a keyfile is required to enable all available settings. Old keyfiles from MUI 3.8 can be used without any restriction.
This release is explicity declared as a beta release, because it been developed and tested on an AmiKit installation running on WinUAE only.
Please report any issues in the bugtracker along with a verbose description of the problem as well as detailed instructions on how to reproduce the issue.
