HTML magazine: Dogma #12 (russian)
Today issue #12 of the Russian-language Amiga magazine Dogma has been released on Aminet, celebrating its 10-year anniversary. The design of the magazine has changed and become more readable, the number of articles has stepped to 50 and the site moved to a new domain.
In the current issue are the latest important news, interviews with Grzegorz Kraszewski, Mark Olsen, Thomas Frieden, reports of AmiParty 2012 and DiHalt 2012 , various memory expansions for the Amiga 600, new accelerators, tests of the AmigaOne X1000, exclusive interviews with ED^V-Nom and LVD^NedoPC, reviews of the latest updates of AmigaOS and MorphOS, the game Return To Castle Wolfenstein, classic card games and more.

Pictures of Kick Off World Championships 2012

USB-Stack: Poseidon-driver for ASIX-88772B-chipset
For the USB-2.0 network adapter Edimax sold by Amistore.de Chris Hodges has made available a driver for his USB-stack Poseidon.
The update includes the asixeth.class written by Patrick Launhardt which provides the support of the ASIX-88772B-chipset as well as the latest subway.device and the drivers serialcp210x.class and serialpl2303.class.

Event: Summary report of Pianeta Amiga - AMOS-Pro source code released
Under the title link Stefano 'Lecta' Guidetti has published a summary report of the Pianeta Amiga 2012. Additional to the 6. update for AmigaOS 4.1 as well as the Sam460-port of MorphOS the following has been presented or announced:
- Beta version of Sirion-USB3-XHCI-driver under AmigaOS 4
- AROS in a PowerPC version
- Digibooster-3 beta version under AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6
- After the release of the source codes of AMOS 1.3 nine years ago Pietro Ghizzoni has released the source codes of AMOS Professional as well - currently available on the website of the Pianeta Amiga 2012 and soon on Aminet as well
- Mario Locati has presented Linux Debian Squeeze, Debian Wheezy and Ubuntu 12.04 on the Sam460ex as well as Sketchblock 1.8, Abiword 2.8.6, Gnumeric 1.10.17 and The Gimp 2.6.11
- Andrea 'AFX' Palmatè has released his game port Equilibrio
- A new charge of Sam460ex-Boards, the Minimig with 4 MB RAM and the ARM-controller are available

Accelerator board: ACA 620 soon available again
A week ago we announced that the ACA 620 temporarily had to be taken off the market due to stability problems. According to Jens "Paradroid" Schönfeld the problem was fixed and the hardware has passed a stress test lasting several hours.
Soon the product should be availble again.

Pianeta Amiga: MorphOS on Sam460
At Pianeta Amiga obviously Frank Mariak demonstrates MorphOS on a Sam460 developed by ACube (pictures of the computer with Ambient). ACube also has hang up posters with Sam460/MorphOS-advertisement (1, 2).
The MorphOS-team members Mark "Bigfoot" Olsen (via screenshot) and Guido "Geit" Mersmann (in the German AmigaNews comments section) has confirmed the existence of a Sam460-port of MorphOS.
According to visitors of the event the port still is in an "early stage of development".

Hyperion: AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6, automatic updates in future
The AmigaOS 4-team has released update 6 for users of AmigaOS 4.1. Registered customers can download the update from website of Hyperion. The update does not include any bug fixes but is supposed to be the basis for future updates:
Instead of collecting minor updates and relasing them in big packages ("Update 5", "Update 6"...) new versions of AmigaOS-components in future will be available immediately via the simple package manager "AmiUpdate". A new preferences tool called "Update" will manage the automatic updates. Additionally a new "Update software..." menu item on Workbench now launches AmiUpdate.
"Only registered users will be able to download updates. To register your AmigaOS serial number go to www.hyperion-entertainment.biz. During the registration process a user name and password will be created. You will be prompted for your user name and password the first time you try to access the update.amigaos.net server with AmiUpdate."

For his X11-environment AmiCygnix Edgar Schwan has updated the audio player Audacious as well as Homebank.
The download manager uGet was added. It is possible to continue downloads and the tool monitors the clipboard if there are URLs (screenshot).

AmigaOS 4: Demonstration of an USB 3-driver on the Pianeta Amiga
Next weekend in Bologna (Italy) the Pianeta Amiga will take place. According to the organizer on its website for the first time the the prototype of an USB 3-driver for PCIe-based USB-controllers on a Sam 460 is supposed to be demonstrated. The driver was written by Sebastian Bauer.

OnyxSoft: Text editor Annotate 3.0.1
The open-source text editor Annotate written by Daniel Westerberg and Doug Bakewell offers syntax-highlighting, unlimited undo/redo and support for several clipboards. The program is available for all Amiga-systems. The changes are listed in the Readme-file.

AmigaOS 4: SysMon 2.5, FastLHA, FastLZX, FastZIP
Guillaume Boesel's SysMon is MUI-based and makes it possible to identify and remove freezed windows and to monitor drives, assigns and system information.
In version 2.5 it is now possible to request a desired network port if there are several ones. Additionally the user-interface was reworked. The benchmark-program RageMem now already is included in the archive.
The same author also has released three little tools called FastLHA, -LZX und -ZIP. With these tools the corresponding compression programs can be launched (screenshots: AmiDock, Kontextmenü).

Bounty fulfilled: Source code of Directory Opus Magellan II will be released
Olaf Schönweiß has agreed with Dr. Greg Perry by GPSoft on a possible release of the source code of the well-know file manager Directory Opus Magellan II (version 5.82) (amiga-news.de reoported).
After ten months 4097 US-Dollar have been donated which are three-quarters of the required amount.

According to Olaf Schönweiß, GPSoft has accepted the collected amount and will release the source code during the next days.

Podcast: Giana Sisters Tribute (BitJam-Episode #161)
Jürgen Beck wrote: Even little girls are getting old one day. Once upon a time, in 1987 to be precise, we played around with two cute girls on C64 and Amiga: The Great Giana Sisters. A great jump 'n run game in the style of Mario, featuring fantastic music by sound magician Chris Hülsbeck.
Now, 25 years later, a new game with the twin girls has been released. After a successful Kickstarter campaign Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams was brought to life by Black Forest Games. With music by Chris Hülsbeck himself, Fabian del Priore and the metal guys from Machinae Supremacy plus awesome graphics where you can switch fluently between the beautiful landscapes and dark places this download title captured our hearts by storm.
Now we want to celebrate the 25th birthday of the Giana Sisters together with the creators and you! AmigaOS 4: Audio-Player AmigaAMP 3.4
Thomas Wenzel has released an update of his audio player AmigaAMP. Changes in version 3.4:
- Added localization
- Switched about window and tag editor to ReAction
- Changed pitch step setting to 1/4 semitone (w/o SHIFT) or 1/16 semitone (w/ SHIFT)
- Fixed HTTP redirection when requested file is a playlist
- Prevent playlists from being scanned for tags
- Fixed loading of skin colours (e.g. playlist background)
- Added M4A support. Play your iTunes music!
