4Players.de: Interview with Chris Hülsbeck
On May the 22nd 4Players.de published a a brief interview with Chris Hülsbeck at the title link.
During the interview he announces a new album after nearly 10 years. The release is scheduled for the this year's Games Convention in August.

Tao-Group with financial worries
The English news service "The Register" reports about financial worries at the TAO-Group
taking the company under administration from May the 31st. Unconfirmed sources report
a transaction of the interlectual property to "Cross Atlantic Capital Partners" has been done already .
Amiga users may be familiar with Tao because of their multimedia platform Intent, which was used for AmigaAnywhere (originally
called AmigaDE).

Amiga Inc.: Preliminary injunction against Hyperion denied by court
After Amiga Inc.started legal action against Hyperion on April the 26th 2007 for injunction, about breech of contract, trademark infringment and several interlectual property issues, the day after Amiga
applied for preliminary injunction against Hyperion.
This application has been denied yesterday by the according court in Seattle,US-WA.
The decison is ruled out in the following pdf document:(court decisioni, 56 KB).

Frying Pan: Status update and patch suggestion for MorphOS
Tomasz Wiszkowski, author of the burning programme Frying Pan, is currenty not able to accept registrations due to a stay abroad.
The further development will be reduced but continued for that time, but lack of test equipment there will be no new release until returning home from the stay.
Th elatest addition is the support for CD-Text, also the import and export of sessions is shaping up.
MorphOS 1.4.x users are suggested to use the patch APooler to
deal with the prolonged burning times. The reason the the much slower memory allocation under MorphOS 1.4.x. (snx) (Translation: ub)

ACube Systems: First batch of CPU modules repaired
Following their announcement to repair G4 modules of AmigaOne/Teron boards in February (amiga-news.de reported), ACube Systems now notify in a press release that the first processor modules have been repaired meanwhile.
Press release Bassano del Grappa, 4th of June, 2007 - ACube Systems is happy to announce that the first batch of CPU Modules has been repaired and is now being tested. First functionality tests show that the modules are working ok with the new CPUs.
In the next few days, after finishing the tests, the modules will be sent to their respective owners.
A second batch of repaired modules is expected soon. (snx)

Instant Messenger: Jabberwocky 1.7
Jabberwocky is a MUI-based Instant-Messaging-Client for AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS, which use a Server-Module to get access on several Messenging-networks (u.a. AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo). changes since Version 1.6:
- Changed some MUI includes to be consistant with the rest of the
Jabberwocky sourcecode files
- Updated copyright notice in catalog files. Updated several string
definitions in Italian catalog translation file
- Added workaround for OS4 network includes conflict with clib2
network includes. The files & file structure of clib2 network
includes are now different than those defined in the Amiga OS4 includes
- Disabled vapor_toolkit.library check in the MorphOS build. Latest
MorphOS ships without this lib. MUI4 has its own TextInput.mcc and
does not use this lib
- Unused variables removed from sources
- Eliminated unused includes
- Added OS4 socket library open/close since bsdsocket.library is not
longer automatically opened by standard libauto
- Added patched muimaster.h include file required for 68k Jabberwocky
compile
- Updated makefile and includes for new OS4 SDK
- Changed constant definitions for XML ID strings to make them easier
to identify in the Jabberwocky source
- Added ID attribute to version (jabber:iq:version) requests and
responses for the benifit of other Jabber clients (like Exodus) that
rely on the ID attributes to identify Jabber iq requests
- Added new functions to retrieve Jabber server agent list using
service discovery methods
- Added functions to obtain agent information from Jabber server with
service discovery methods
- Added new constant definitions and function prototype in support of
service discovery methods for obtaining Jabber server agent information
- Added ID attribute to agent registration XML
- Made numerous changes to sources in order to implement SASL
authentication required by some new Jabber servers
- Changed size check in console logger to use size sent in the call
- Changed size for connection checks to 2 since at least one server
is sending 2 spaces for the checks
- Added several defines to support SASL authentication
- Added Jabber namespace definitions not included in Iksemel library
- Removed unused MSG_CHAT constant and moved MSG_READ constant
- Added return value of IKS_HOOK to receive function so Jabberwocky
can tell if stream:features is being received following initial
connect header
- Fixed long standing bug that can cause 68k Jabberwocky enforcer hit
or crash
- Updated header files for use with new Iksemel library
- Updated Jabberwocky main sources for use with new Iksemel library
- Numerous changes in return values and function names were made
- Updated Iksemel library to latest released version and added
necessary Amiga modifications

WHDLoad: New files since 03.06.2007

Pressemitteilung: ue to the fact that some issues of the Amiga Future have been sold out in the meantime we have put new full versions for free download on the Amiga Future homepage.

We look for someone who wants to take care of the downloads section of the Amiga Future. In fact it is about writing system requirements and small descriptions for each software package in German and English.
The issue 66 has been released recently and is available in our online shop. Just now we work hard on issue 67.
No. 67 will be the first Amiga Future issue being published in German and English.
We ask all interested users to order issue 67 as soon as possible because we'll print only the preordered amount plus a small reserve.

New installation aids for SUBWAY USB controller
Two new installation aids are available as PDF files for the popular USB controller SUBWAY, which show connecting the SUBWAY to the Zorro cards Xsurf and Buddha from individual computers. You can find these documents on E3B's web pages under the title link in the Support/Mounting area.
Thanks to the assistance of an active SUBWAY user, who has created both documents and released them for download, connecting the controller to the clockports of the aforementioned cards should prove to be considerably easier with these, since, unfortunately, no details on the orientation of of the clockports are to be found in the documentation of either Zorro card.
In case of questions and obscurities when installing the SUBWAY, the producer E3B continues to ask for contacting E3B support. (nba) (Translation: cad)

Updates to MMKeyboard, Meridian, IRCom and IRComRemote
Guido Mersmann is making available updates to some of his programs: The multimedia keyboard driver MMKeyboard is now available in version 3.26 (AmigaOS 4, MorphOS 1.5, UAE, Amithlon), the mouse gesture commodity Meridian 2.24 exists for AmigaOS 3/4 and MorphOS.
The infrared driver package IRCom/IRComRemote allows sending and receiving infrared signals using appropriate USB hardware. Version 2.12 is available for AmigaOS 3 and MorphOS. (cg) (Translation: cad)
