PalmOS as open source on 68k Amiga?
The developer "Mask of Destiniy", popular in the Sega CD world and in the Amiga world, is currently working on an open source version for PalmOS and is looking for assitance with this project. With his open source version he above all wants to offer an alternative for the upcoming PalmOS, which will be based on Linux. AmigaOS 4: MindSpace status update, competition
MindSpace is a drawing program, with which Flowcharts, UML diagrams, mind maps or vector images can be created, among other things. The release of the commercial version 1.0 is planned for July 29, the program will be available as a download as well as on CD.
Still, the author is looking for example projects which he can add to the final distribution - users are therefore called to send in their diagrams that are created with MindSpace to mindspaceATast-workshopsDOTcoDOTuk.
10% of all aller senders receive a full version of MindSpace 1.0 free of charge, additionally, 25 British pounds are awarded to two best projects. The entry deadline is July 24. (cg) (Translation: cad)

MorphOS: Vector graphics program SteamDraw 0.6R1
The 2D vector graphics program SteamDraw is immediately available in version 0.6R1. Compared to version 0.5R4, the following changes were carried out:
- Lines and points are now magnetic

Moorhuhn-clone: Blackshoot 1.5
Blackshoot is a "Moorhuhn"-clone written in AmiBlitz with graphic and soundcard support
(screenshot). The probably last
update to version 1.5 contains an improved hit counter as well as a better and more realistic
flight speed of the vultures.
The reasons of the speed problems on 68040/BVision could not be find out.

AmigaOS 4: Prerelease 2 from Amaya 8.8.5 for X-Window
Edgar Schwan has released a second prerelease of his CSS-capable web-editor/-browser Amaya. New in this version:
- The internet connection is working now, surfing the internet is possible now!
- Update to the latest version 8.8.5 (for the changelog have a look at w3.org/Amaya )
- WebDAV-support implemented (not tested)
- Most of the debug outputs were removed. Amaya should run a little faster now

AmigaOS 4: ColecoVision-Emulator ColEm 1.0r4
Bob Wicksall has released a new version of his Amiga port ColEm. There is a new option to run the emulator in a new screen as well as a graphical user interface. It is recommended to use the full screen mode only, as the emulator still has problems in the windowed mode with the allocation of pens.
- Got the release numbers under control
- Full screen support (-fullscreen)
- CVLaunch: new GUI launcher. Just drop ROMS in roms folder and run
CVLaunch
- known bugs:
- Can have difficulty allocating pens in windowed mode
- Sound is still limited
- General compatability is good but not perfect

Jump'n Run: Status-update of Mr.Beanbag
Mr. Beanbag, a jump'n run for AGA-Amigas, is slowly but finally being completed. "Caves Zone" is the 2nd finished level of totally 4, actually level no. 3 ("Marble Mansion") is under work.
The whole game requires a disk space of 530 KB, therefore there is still a lot of space for bonus levels and final opponents. (cg) (Translation: tz)

Game data base: 35th edition of the Amiga Games List
The 35th edition of the Amiga Games List is available now. The list is mainatined regularly since 1991 and is with
10976 entries the most extensive game list for the Amiga. New since the last update:
- Now 10976 games
- In the column "Div" a eventually given compatibily with the gfx expansions Graffiti or Opal Vision is listed
- The new column "Orig" list the date of the original release
- The data base contains the license types GPL, LGPL, Artistic Licence ("Artis") and Zlib now
- AmigaBasic games are marked accordingly
