New Amiga dealer - handle with care
An amigaworld.net member pointed out that there's a new presumably British Amiga dealer called amigashop.co.uk. But just a few hours later, there are lots of indications suggesting that one should be very cautious when dealing with this entity:
The only means of contacting the dealer (apart from a HTML form) listed on the website is a mobile phone number, there's no postal address or proper imprint available.
There are AmigaOne motherboards available from the webshop, yet the manufacturer Eyetech states that they never heard about that particular vendor. The domain amigashop.co.uk is owned by pc-x-treme.net, a company that has allegedly cheated PC customers in the past and falsely claimed to be a subsidiary of a reputable hardware manufacturer.
More information and links to further evidence can be found at amigaworld.net.

Amiga.org Magazine: Spare issues of the pilot still available
There are still some spare issues of the pilot of the 'Amiga.org Magazine', a currently frozen
international print magazine in English language, available as Ron van Herk
('Palpatine') just reports at
Amiga.org.
The reasons for the frozen status of that magazine are said to
be not enough time by the editors and the overall situation
of the Amiga market which is not the best condition for a
needed and secured market demand.
Financing and material for articles as well as advertisers
were not the critical problem, thus giving hope the status
might change for future releases again when more Amigas,
independent which manufacturer or brand they will be, within
the market.
Further information and how to obtain one of the last issues
is to get at the title link.

"There are new snapshots of the 3D map available that is right now in development for Tales of Tamar. This 3D map will be implemented into the client by the end of the year and is meant to move the project together with higher resolution and higher number of colours to the first row of round based strategy games.

Hardware "hack": Prometheus in desktop case
Jim "Redrumloa" Farley by Anachronism Industries has found a way to built a "Prometheus" PCI busboard into a (closed) A3000 or A4000 desktop case. To do this are no modifications necessary for the Prometheus or the A4000.
In his test computer has Farley next to the Prometheus built in a Voodoo3 graphics card and a PCI network card - still the video slot and two Zorro slots are accessible. A third Zorro slot is partly covered but should offer enough space for short slot cards.
Further details and some photos can be found at amiga.org. Obviously Farley is thinking about offering the needed parts for sale.
