Amiga Arena: 'Layouter' full version
In cooperation and with the okay by Marius Schwarz the Amiga Arena offers a free release of the software "Layouter" for the first time.
With the program "Layouter" it is possible to layout and print your own books and fanzines.
"Layouter" covers the part to process texts, creating paragraphs for pictures and titles to print a fanzine correctly for example.
Layouter does all the work a commo text processoer can't handle sufficient.
To say it in a simple manner: You bring in the text to print and the graphics and "Layouter" creates an impressing book or magazine from that.
Another big advantage of "Layouter" is its speed for printing a book.
A detailed manual and some example projects are included within the archive. For further assistance or suggestions the developer
Marius Schwarz might be contacted.

The only disadvantage of it: formerly registered user have to
register again because their data could not be transferred. But

Virus Help: New update of xvs.library
A new update of the "xvs.library' (xvs.library - The eXternal Virus
Scanner Library) has been updated today, and can be found at the
"Virus Help Team's websites". Remember, if you use the antivirus
programs like ec. VirusZ, VirusExecuter, VirusChecker, Mill this
update of XVS is a MUST for you.
Info about the new update:
Name: xvs.library v33.40
Archive name: xvslibrary.lha
Archive size: 93,637 bytes
Release date: 13 May 2003
Programmer: Georg Hoermann
News is v33.40: (Size: 61,912 bytes)
- Added file recognition for some very old installer programs of the
following bootblock viruses: Blizzard, CLI-Manager, SystemZ 5.0
and SystemZ 6.4. Thanks to Dirk Stöcker for sending the files.
- Added special recognition for "Zeeball AV-Testfile" from Zeeball's
antivirus test archive.
- Changed several often-used CacheClearU() calls to CacheClearE()
for better performance on JIT 68k emulated systems (file analysis
and repair code for polymorphic linkviruses have not been changed,
as these only get called if some patterns match first). Thanks to
Harry Sintonen for the hint.
- Fixed bug in xvsCheckFile() that accessed two bytes following the
actual file buffer under certain circumstances. Thanks must go to
Mikolaj Calusinski for the report and for beta-testing.
- Did some compatibility fixes for Pegasos/MorphOS systems. Thanks
again to Harry Sintonen for the report and for beta-testing.
- Replaced old installer script with an updated version written once
again by Dave 'Targhan' Crawford. Thanks!
BTW: Georg Hoerman will change his email in the near future, his new email
is ghoermann@gmx.de.
Kind regards...

Morph-box Version 1.0
Today the final version 1.0 of Carsten Siegner's program "Morph-box" for MorphOS has been released. This is fully functioning with clickable buttons and also includes a prefs editor. Morph-box is a toolbar for MorphOS which is able to launch MorphOS native and 68k programs.
This program is MorphOS native and thus only runs on the Pegasos computer. Furthermore it requires the PNG datatype.
Installation: Copy guigfx.library.elf (N.B.: this is the MOS version, so
don't take the version from the powerlibs.lzx directory!) to the directory "Sys:MorphOS/Libs". Furthermore the powerlibs.lzx archive from Carsten Siegner's homepage is required. This is located in the "Videokonverter" subdirectory (unpack the archive and copy to Sys:Libs directory).
The archive contains a small readme file explaining the few functions. (nba) (Translation: cb)
