Update to Inga-developer packet version 1.0/6 beta
There is a new update of the Inga-developer packet. Inga is an engine for the classic graphic adventures like Monkey Island 3 which can be easily created with the help of this developer packet.
The update includes the following things:
- Inga-engine version 1.0/6 (beta)
- Audio-CDs can be played (via cdplay.library).
- New script commands: pre-loading, clearing, ilkabove, ilkdown, "LadeLaufkarte", "AusDieMaus", "Leistensperre", "LeistensperreAus" and menu.
- The two mouse colours were changed to be equal to the workbench-standard.
- Developer modus integrated. Thus it is possible to load old game scores with processed script versions. Besides this the inventar and the variables can be changed during the game.
ScriptShell version 1.1
In the new version the command list was put in an external file ("IngaCommands") from the program file. Thus you do not have to update the full program if there are new script commands.
There is also an English version of the "IngaCommand"-file so the script language can be also changed to English.
If you compile a log-file is created in the "Dats"-directory of the game ("ScriptShellLog") where all labels with their address pointers are listed. These will be required for the developer modus of the engine.
"OrtEditor" version 1.1
In a new menu you can select between German and English script-language. If you push the key <DEL> while positioning a graphic element the element will be invisible or visual again. This is very practical if you want to test if an element sits right on the background.
You can find the update as well as further information under the title link.

StrICQ (ANF)
|
Instant-Messenger: StrICQ v2 Beta6
Douglas F. McLaughlin released beta 6 of the Instant-Messenger 'STRICQ'
(version 2). Compared to the previous version the following changes have
been made:
- Fixed the '*** NULL POINTER ***' text some people reported showing up
in the contact list. It was caused by sending or receiving a message
to/from a UIN in the 'Not in List' group.
- Now that the above bug is fixed, sending or receiving a message
to/from a UIN will cause that UIN to remain in the contact list
even after restarting STRICQ. However, there will be no status
changes for those UINs.
- When a UIN shows up in the 'Not in List' group, STRICQ will now
request that UIN's short info and display the Nick in the contact
list.
- Fixed a long-standing bug in the contact list display that would
cause a crash if the existing nick was changed after the UIN was
already inserted into the contact list.
Download: STRICQ v2 Beta 6 STRICQv2.lha
Installation tips:
STRICQ V2 is incompatible with STRICQ and must for this
reason be installed in its own directory.
At the moment STRICQ V2 can only be launched from a shell prompt.
There's a lot of debug output in the shell window, which can be
send to Douglas F. McLaughlin in case of occurring bugs.
Run the program. It won't get online right away. Enter your nickname,
your UIN and your password. Click 'Save'. Close the program by using
the close window button on the contact list window. Your prefs are
now saved. Restart the program and if all went well, you should now
be online. However, you should consider the following points:
- You cannot add contacts manually yet. If you have never used ICQ2001b,
don't bother using STRICQ V2 at this time.
- If you have used ICQ2001b before, STRICQ V2 will import your contact list
from the server
- If you get an enforcer hit, please forward it to Douglas F. McLaughlin
on the message base. You should use <pre></pre> tags.
- You will need the latest versions of NList, NListtree and TextInput.
Links for download are available at
STRICQ-Homepage
