Web Browser Voyager: New Button-Set
Richard Kapp wrote:
I have once again created a new theme for Voyager. This time it's a button set
drawn in the MacOS X (Aqua) look with a matching background pattern which makes
the buttons appear transparent. The set is quite big and therefor especially
good for use with high resolutions.

Amiga port of SiN Finished, but...
From a posting of Ben Hermans of
Hyperion Entertainment it is evident
that the Amiga port of the game 'SiN' is ready but the actual Amiga hardware
isn't enough to cope with the requirements of the game. The port will be hold
back until the AmigaOne hits the market.
Hermans said that particularly the lower-end Blizzard acceleration cards couldn't offer
the CPU speed needed for 'SiN'.

mozAmiga Site Updated
The mozAmiga site at
mozdev.org has been updated.
Interested programmers can find there a summary of the project and of the
developers resources.
Amiga Inc. themselves want this port but for the time being there's only a
reworked project manager available for the project. If you own the Amiga SDK and
you'd like to bring some C++ code into the right form for the new system and
want Netscape on the AmigaDE then have a look.

Intel: Itanium Set in May
Intel plans the release of the first batch
Itanium chips for the end of this month. It is expected that two or three
versions of this chip will arrive. One with 733 Mhz and a 800-Mhz version with
2 MB cache. A 800-Mhz version with 4 MB cache is said to come, too. Amiga should
now mention whether an Itanium compatible translator (VP) is planned.
Itanium chips are 64Bit processors that can among other things manage 32 GB
memory. Enough for complete websites or the content of big harddrives.
IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Dell and other big computer distributors will soon present
computers with 2, 4 and even with 16 processors that for the first time will have
the 64 bit Itanium chip.
