WHDLoad: New installers until 10.02.2018
Using WHDLoad, you can install games, scene demos and intros from cracking groups to your harddisk that were only working from floppy disks previously. The following installers have been added until February 10th, 2018:

A500 accelerator board: HC 508 available
Under the title link the accelerator board HC 508 (amiga-news.de reported) is available. A 68HC000 processor with 50 MHz is used and a slot for IDE harddrives as well as for compact flash cards is available.

Issues 105, 106 and 107 (November 2013 until April 2014) of the printed magazine Amiga Future is sold out, you can read the German and English edition of the magazine online (picture files). You also can buy a PDF-version.

AmigaOS 4: Support for Polaris graphic cards (Enhancer Software)
Under the title link Matthew Leaman of A-EON Technology wrote that for the AmigaOS-4 extension "Enhancer Software" he guess the support for graphic cards equipped with AMD's Polaris chip set will be added.
This is also due to the Southern-Islands chipset cards of which only the variant of the Oland-based R7 240 was sold on the market.

AROS: Summary of development in January
Based on the weekly information on the development of the open source operating system AROS, this is the summary for January.
- Fixed a crash in AHI prefs when there's no output available (hitchhikr)
- Fixed code corruption (corrupt taglists) caused by compiler optimisation quirks. This may have caused bugs in various places throughout AROS: it is known to have affected some DataTypes at least (neil)
- The French translations for system components were brought up to date (hitchhikr)
- Fixed a crash in the standard text editor that sometimes occurred while opening a file (hitchhikr)
- Fixed two visual glitches in Wanderer regarding the lasso and the headings in list mode (hitchhikr)
- Fixed the same code corruption problem as last week, but for GCC 6 (neil)
- More visual bugs fixed in Wanderer (hitchhikr)
- SAM440 build works again (balaton)
- Fixed MMU setup on SAM440 to avoid exceptions before TLB entries for handlers are set up (balaton)
- Fixed a potential crash in the USB HID driver (balaton)
- Fixed a memory corruption bug in IPrefs (balaton)
- Added a command line interface to FTManager (o1i)
- Give a more helpful error message when calling C:List on NIL: (polluks)

Trailer: Jump'n Run "Elfie - The Unicorn" for kids
"Elfie - The Unicon" is a classic jump'n run game for kids which is supposed to be released as free download. The author still needs graphic artists, sound designers and testers for supporting him finishing the game.

ADF tool: TOSEC Checker 0.1
Steffest writes: With all the disk-imaging going on the past weeks with the Bamiga Sector One collection and others, we made a simple and accessible tool to quickly check if your freshly made ADF file is already in the TOSEC (The Old School Emulation Center) database or not.
Of course there already tools that do that, but they involve installing obscure software and hunting down and installing tons of database files. TOSEC Checker instead is a simple web-based tool: nothing to install. You drag a bunch of ADF files on the page and it tells you quickly if your disks are already in TOSEC or not.
As an added bonus you can click on a disk to browse it, view files in ASCII and hex and download files straight from the ADF image. It's like a TOSEC-enabled mini ADF Opus in your browser!
The tool is open source. We are open to any suggestions to improve it. - Enjoy! (snx)
