Amiga emulator: Amiberry 5.6.6
Amiberry is an Amiga emulator for ARM-based single-chip systems like the Raspberry Pi, the Odroid XU4 or the Tinkerboard from ASUS, which brings some newly developed features like a "WHDLoad-Booter" or support for controller configuration using RetroArch. For example it is used in the Workbench distribution AmiKit for the Raspberry Pi 4/400. Changes in version 5.6.6:

Bugfixes
  • WHDBooter would default to 020 CPU in cases it should use 68000
  • WHDBooter should detect AGA/CD32 games and use 020 CPU for them
  • don't exclude the fps counter calculation
  • switch back to normal vsync
  • Revert timing changes, as some users reported problems
  • don't keep native window size when opening an RTG screen
  • Fix zero length disk dma not finishing when dsksync is detected.
  • Do not generate Fat Gary delay/exception if Z2/Z3 board unmapped space access.
  • floppy sounds did not load on macOS
  • fix floppy sounds dir name should be lowercase on macOS as well
  • dlopen was broken on macOS after previous changes
  • changing the value of capture_always on the fly didn't work
  • don't enable RTG hardware sprite by default
Improvements
  • Updated WHDLoad to latest version
  • remember window position and size
  • merge recent updates from preview
  • improve DrawBridge functionality
  • merge statusline updates from preview
  • implemented multithreaded RTG rendering
  • fix background color for main window selectors
  • allow higher V.Offset values
  • allow more values in joy-mouse settings

Blog: Mingo's Commodore Page" becomes "Mingo's Commodore Blog"
Domingo has been running his "Mingo's Commodore Page" for almost two decades and has published numerous instructions, information and tips there. Now he has moved to Google's blogger service at a new address and has already published a new tutorial for Amiga users on data exchange between Amiga and PC via the serial interface (German).

The move had become necessary due to permanently rising costs with the previous provider, the enormous amount of time required for maintenance (which is no longer necessary with the new provider) and the code of the old website, which had become increasingly complex over the years and therefore more difficult to manage.

As Domingo tells us, the old manuals will be revised and gradually republished in the new blog. The focus of the blog is on tutorials, but there will be "reviews" of Commodore hardware and software, such as the one about the Amiga 1200 (German).

Unfortunately, however, not everything can be transferred 1:1 from a website to a blog, so it remains to be seen whether and what else will be on the blog. In any case, the current plan is to post a new entry at least every 10 to 14 days. (dr)

Michal Schulz (Mail)

Motorola68k emulation: Emu68 v1.0 Release Candidate 3
Developer Michal Schulz has released Release Candidate 3 of version 1.0 of his Motorola68K emulation Emu68 for the ARM architecture, focusing on the PiStorm and PiStorm32lite (amiga-news.de reported). Emu68 1.0 Release Candidate 3 is the last release candidate before final version 1.0. It includes all fixes from RC1 and RC2. Additionally it contains several changes and fixes improving performance of old games and demos:

BlitWait

The BlitWait option allows the user to force Emu68 to do more fine-grained waits before writting several blitter-sensitive registers. Normally, the software which is using blitter should wait until it completed the operation, but in some cases the demo coders assumed that m68k is slow enough to not waist time for waiting. Such games and/or demos require the blitwait option activated either through cmdline.txt or with help of EmuControl to operate properly.

Ability to add EmuControl parameters to Emu68 globally

With this release user can pass the EmuControl command line options, like e.g. DBF ICNT=1 CCRD=0 directly to cmdline.txt file and thus making them global. This, in combination with eventually disabled CPU caches, allows one to run demos like the "State of the Art" directly from floppy, without WHDLoad.

RGB to HDMI Passthrough

This feature requires small external hardware (work in Progress or A500, A600, A1200, A2000) which sends the digital RGB data through the camera interface to raspberry directly. IN combination with new unicam.resource (embedded in kernel) and new VideoCore/Emu68-VC4 driver (available in new nightly build of Emu68-tools) this allows to display the RGB signal from Amiga on the HDMI. The unicam.resource allows one to enable this feature on boot already, new VideoCore driver allows one to easily switch between RGB and RTG modes on the same screen.

The developer provides more detailed information on the changes in his new Patreon post. (dr)

Preview video: Hyperborea (Resurrected) #3
Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener is in the process of continuing "Hyperborea", a project started four years ago and interrupted in the meantime (YouTube videos) (amiga-news.de reported). Technically, the game is as good as finished. Changes of the third preview video:
  • fat laser shot: this is your secondary weapon. It's stronger than the spread-shot, but - guess what - doesn't spread. Also, your ship moves at half speed when this is fired. Very good to dodge dense bullet curtains. A double-click toggles between the two weapon types. Don't worry: your gun will still continue firing when you shortly lift your thumb for this action.
  • sprite priorities: in 2p mode the player / player-shot sprites' priorities are alternating each frame now. So in even frames all the stuff of player 1 is drawn on top of player 2 and in odd frames player 2 and its shots occlude player 1. This effectively results in both player-ships and -shots being visible all the time. Before this change player 1 and its shots always overpainted all the 2nd player's stuff.
  • a logo screen ;)
  • main menu (not fully functional as of yet)

Commotron (ANF)

Wireless Gamepad: Turbo 2000 Super V2
The Turbo 2000 Super gamepad from Commotron is wireless and has a fourth fire button for jumping (amiga-news.de reported). Now the manufacturer is showing a revised and, with a recommended retail price of 29.90 euros, cheaper version 2 of the pad on Facebook, which is said to have already arrived at the first dealers and is also available in two additional designs: Commodore Cream and Sinclair Spectrum.

The Turbo 2000 Super V2 offers an additional two-pin connector header on the dongle, so that one can solder a two wire cable into the computer or gaming console and connect two independent buttons to the dongle. For example one can connect buttons from Gotek Drive selectors, Reset button and Game-Select buttons, or turbo-module buttons to the dongle. With a new mapping selection one can trigger those two buttons wirelessly from the gamepad by pressing Fire 2 or 3 for one of the two pins. Pin 1 or Pin 2 on the header connector will deliver Ground (GND) signal when pressing Fire Button 2 or 3. (snx)

Diskmag: Last issue of Jurassic Pack released
Lars Sobiraj wrote: Today, after almost two years, the 20th and probably last issue of the Jurassic Pack was published (amiga-news.de reported). This demoscene discmag looks back on a long history. The pre-issue appeared 18.5 years ago at a French demo party called Gasp.

A few highlights: Interview with Peter Baustaedter, a scene graphic designer who managed to go from Austria to Hollywood with Arnold Schwarzenegger's help. He was involved in the creation of the films "Avatar", "Jumper", "The Fifth Element" and many more.

Interview with Amiga graphic artist Danny Geurtsen, who is also successful in the games and film industry. Geurtsen has worked on "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Passengers", "The Martian", "Maleficent", "Gravity", "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets", "Underworld", "Space Odyssey" and "The Avengers", to name but a few.

Alexander Scheel transported the popular demo Odyssey from Alcatraz from 1991 into the present with the help of the ray tracing tool Blender.

However, there are numerous other items to discover in the Amiga version.

Obligement: Update of Amiga Games List
The Amiga Games List, a document created and maintained by David Brunet since April 1991, was updated on January 8, 2024 with the publication of its 54th edition. Among other new features and corrections, games published or updated in 2023 have been added (194), and games created in HyperBook and PowerD are now accounted for.

In addition, two new licences have been added: 'Hack' (which refers to games derived from other games or published illegally, for example without the consent of the original author), and "Sustainable Use License", a new open licence. In addition, where possible, the name of the publisher of public domain games (CAM, Spielekiste, itch.io...) has been added.

The total now stands at 14258 entries, including games, level editors, data disks, extensions and interpreters, distributed as follows:
  • 13521 games
  • 432 extensions and data disks
  • 154 game or level editors
  • 151 interpreters
For the record, the number of native AmigaOS 4 games has now passed the 1000 mark. (snx)

Game Construction Kit: Scorpion Engine 2023.5
The "Scorpion Engine" (video of development of vertical scroll demos) by Erik 'earok' Hogan enables the development of games. The engine itself is not open source, but all included demos and demo games are. The editor itself runs on Windows. Graphics are imported as PNG files, for level creation the editor Tiled is used. For sounds, music and animations Amiga formats (mod, 8svx, anim5) are used. Changes of version 2023.5:
  • Animation editor has been updated to make it much easier to trigger custom events on frames, including audio, shooting other actors, setting direction and speed - as well as the ability to have numerous melee collision boxes on every frame.
  • "Intellibox" allows you to type in a number of code commands directly into the code tab.
  • Dynamic Patterns allows levels on Mega Drive to have massive tilesets.
  • Ability to freeze and unfreeze actors.
  • Many bug fixes and performance enhancements.
  • New game: Merry Xmas

  • Emu68 (PiStorm light) is now detected and properly shown as CPU/FPU/MMU.
  • Until now, identify only estimated the MMU depending on the system's CPU, and was wrong with 68EC030 machines and some accelerator boards. 68851 MMU chips were not detected at all. Starting with v44, the mmu.library is used now. If it is present, identify will return an accuate result.

AmiFox: Server update
Marcus 'ALB42' Sackrow's "AmiFox" displays modern web pages on an Amiga by downloading and displaying the pages converted into images by a web rendering proxy ("AmiFox server"). On the server side, there have now been some minor improvements, which the author describes at the title link - but the program itself does not need to be downloaded again.

Note for users who run the Docker on their own server: The version number 0.3 of the server version has remained the same despite these adjustments. (snx)

Shoot'em Up: "Skillgrid" V1.4
In early 2019, Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua released his abstract, vertical shoot'em up SkillGrid (YouTube video). Changes to version 1.4:
  • Added cells field flashing when these cells (are about to) appear:
    • ASTEROIDS cell (bright colors);
    • BEAM/* cells, if their exit from the bottom of the screen would reduce the number of beams shot by the spaceship (bright colors);
    • MOTHERSHIP, MUSIC MODE, SKULL (same colors of the cells field when the associated boss/mode is active).
  • Made the spaceship flash red when its shield is low.
  • Made the spaceship glow red for half a second when its shield gets damaged.
  • Made the middle layer appear progressively at the beginning of a game.
  • Made the cells layer populate with empty cells progressively.
  • Changed a few pixels of the title screen spaceship icon and of the Skull.
  • Improved the handling of audio channels.
  • Made sure no sprite tearing occurs when switching between screens.
  • Made sure that the system MMU setup does not interfere.
  • Fixed crash when a tune was started while another tune was playing (e.g. when the MUSIC MODE cell was caught while missiles were active).
  • Fixed the stopping of the music mode music (it inhibited the restart of the spaceship afterburner sound).
  • Fixed the X position of specifically-requested cells (it was equal to the type of the cell removed at the same time).
  • Fixed the lengths of some sounds samples (they were odd).
  • Made various speed and memory optimizations.
  • Made the startup and cleanup code more robust.
  • Worked on the cells:
    • improved the handling of the TURN cell (now it is randomized and it ensures that the speeds of the UFOs will always change);
    • increased the frequency of the MUSIC MODE cells;
    • decoupled the randomization of the cells types and positions;
    • created the BOSSES (virtual) class of cells, grouping the BOLTSPITTER and SKULL cells (previously MALUSES) and the MOTHERSHIP cell (previously UNDEFINED) into it;
    • made the template of the BOLTSPITTER and SKULL cells striped;
    • made the template of the TURN cell fringed;
    • made the template of the BEAM/DOUBLE cell equal to that of the other BEAM/* cells.
  • Worked on the audio channels allocation priorities of the sound effects:
    • given the Boltspitter bolt shooting and the hitting of the spaceship by the Mothership beam priority over the milestone notification;
    • assigned the speech warnings specific priorities (from lowest to highest: "charge low", "shield low", "approaching asteroids", "escapes critical", "danger", "time running out").
  • Updated/improved the documentation. 19. Updated the artwork to reflect the new cells graphics.

Paweł 'tukinem' Tukatsch's latest game is an Amiga conversion of the game Helicopter Emergency Rescue Operation (H.E.R.O.) from the US games company Activision from 1984, originally programmed for the Atari 2600. The aim of the game is to fly into the depths of an underground cave with the character, who has a helicopter backpack, in order to rescue lost miners and avoid various dangers. As Paweł explains to us, the music and sounds were created by Marcin 'Eightbm' Białobrzewski, who also created the music for the final version of Tony and for Farmiga. (dr)

Preview video: Hyperborea (Resurrected) #2
Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener is in the process of continuing "Hyperborea", a project started four years ago and interrupted in the meantime (YouTube videos) (amiga-news.de reported). Technically, the game is as good as finished. Changes compared to the first preview video:
  • spread shot: fully loaded :) Each player can now throw up to 36 laser-streaks on the enemies.
  • muzzle flash
  • collision handling player vs. bullets and floating enemies
  • smart bomb: if you're about to die it will be activated automatically, unless your bomb stock is empty, of course. While the bomb is active, enemy hitpoints are constantly drained, bullets are canceled and you're invulnerable. Note: for the video I always keep the 2nd player's bomb stock at 0. This is simply because otherwise it would constantly bomb if hit and make the video much less interesting :P
  • removed dummy test explosions on enemy hit: instead a dedicated hit sound is played. Maybe I'll add some sparks later.
  • optional bullet canceling on enemy hit: when the enemy is destroyed then all of the bullets that were spawned by it are canceled.
  • extremely optimized player-gun vs. enemies algorithm
  • optional craters for ground enemies and test turrets: those craters got their own dedicated rendering system.
  • some well-known floating popcorn enemies ;)
Many enemies are taken from Torben's earlier work "Battle Squadron" for the time being. There are also a few placeholders (e.g. for the music or crater gfx). (dr)

Amiga-Emulator: vAmigaWeb - reworked virtual keyboard
vAmigaWeb is an Amiga emulator for the web browser or a Progressive Web App (PWA) based on the Amiga emulator vAmiga for MacOS.

In this update, the virtual keyboard has been restyled and technically reworked. It is now css-grid-based, which enables automatic scaling to different screen sizes. In addition to a scaling factor, the user can now also add a border at the bottom of the screen. This is particularly useful to prevent the keyboard from conflicting with the home indicator (the thin bar at the bottom of the iPhone screen).

All analogue sticks on a external controller should be recognized and work properly now. Tested with wireless Xbox controller on iPad. (dr)

Recovered: Early music programs "Computer Composer" and "Magic Harp"
Josh Renaud's blog about BBS history, retro computing and technology reminiscences also manages a curated collection of software believed to be lost by Israeli cartoonist Yaakov Kirschen. The collection comprises ten games, demos and experiments on artificial personality and artificial creativity, which also includes the two music programs "Computer Composer" (1986) and "Magic Harp" (1986/87) for the Amiga.

Perhaps Kirschen's most ambitious idea was to make software that could generate music autonomously using "artificial creativity". Early versions of the project, called "Magic Harp", were developed for the Amiga 1000, using digital sound samples. The Amiga software was never published commercially, but was profiled in several large newspapers in 1988 under the name "JFY Box" or "Jiffy Box" after it was used to score a BBC TV documentary.

"Computer Composer" (demo version) is a colorful early demo of Kirschen's process to generate new music by recombining patterns extracted from existing music. Unlike the later "Magic Harp", which featured large (silent) animated "artificial personalities", this demo uses speech synthesis to announce when it is "writing an original composition". It was probably intended to be shown by Kirschen at technology and music trade shows in summer 1986. This software was created on an Amiga 1000.
This demo allows the user to create or play music in four styles: "Maharishi Madness", "Saxman Rock", "Peruvian Indian" and "Bugle Boy Blues".

In "Magic Harp" Kirschen arranged the production of two themed music discs ("Pop" and "Baroque") with Irving Gould, which were to be included with the Amiga 1000. Only a beta version of the Baroque version has survived. (dr)

Demo: THE CURE v1.5 for AGA-Amigas
Some time ago, Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua released a demo called 'THE CURE' (YouTube video) which placed first at the 'Solskogen' demo party 2020 in the category Oldskool (amiga-news.de reported).

This demo he keeps on developing and meanwhile has released version 1.5:
  • Improved CPU data cache handling on 68040 and 68060.
  • Ensured the system MMU setup does not affect performance.
  • Ensured the 68060 susperscalar dispatch is enabled.
  • Made some small optimizations.
  • Made startup and cleanup code more robust.
Additional to an AGA Amiga the demo requires a 68030 processor with 50 MHz and about 15 MB FAST-RAM. (dr)

Puzzle game: Spheroid
In April 2022, we introduced the puzzle game, which was still in development at the time, in detail, and now Andrew Vaisey has published "Spheroid" (YouTube video).

He had already started writing Spheroid in AMOS in the mid-90s. When he restored all the data from his old HD some time ago, the AMOS version no longer ran. However, he liked the idea of the game and so he rewrote it from scratch in Blitz Basic 2. It offers 50 levels and requires at least 1MB of RAM. (dr)

Game development: IFF/ILBM exporter v1.3 for Aseprite
Recently We introduced a script written by Prismatic Realms for the image editor Aseprite that converts graphics into an IFF/ILBM file. Version 1.3 has now been released with the following changes:
  • Aseprite documents where the cel image size is larger than the sprite size are now exported correctly to IFF.
  • Transparent colour index is now handled properly.  You can now draw your sprites using a transparent background if you wish. Those transparent pixels will be translated to the colour index that you've defined as your transparent colour (which you can see/alter in Aseprite by selecting the "Sprite" --> "Properties" menu option.)

In mid-November, we introduced Darren 'dmcoles' Cole's "ReBuild" in detail, with which it should be possible to create graphical user interfaces for ReAction, the evolution of ClassAct. Changes of version 0.8.0:
  • change ActivateGadget to ActivateLayoutGadet as the old call was causing lockups on tab key
  • add hint info on code gen form, list manager form, menu editing form, arexx editor form and the main window
  • force number of ticks on fuelgauge to 2 if set to 1 as 1 causes a crash
  • fix spelling error of Backdrop on window properties form
  • fix enabling/disabling of certain buttons/menus on the main form
  • add tutorial files created by Michael Bergmann
The author asks you to test ReBuild extensively and report any bugs to him.

Game: Re-release of Weltendämmerung (german)
"Weltendämmerung" is a real-time strategy game by Frank Abbing (UAC Design, Risk implementation "Riskful"), which he had already written at the beginning of the 90s in AmigaE and Assembler (DevPac) as his first Amiga game, but only published in 2001. Now the author has made it available again as an ADF file on archive.org.

In the game, you take on the role of Robert Ungar. He must try to defeat the creatures of Dr. Coypu. In order to accomplish this task, he must succeed in getting an army of mutants under his control.

AmigaOS 4: Editor Lite XL 2.1.2r1
George 'walkero' Sokianos has just released version 2.1.2r1 of the editor Lite XL for AmigaOS 4 (amiga-news.de reported). He wrote:

"Today, Lite XL 2.1.2 was released for every system by the official development team, as they usually do after Christmas. So, it is the perfect time to release a new version for AmigaOS 4 as well.

During December, I was working to synchronise the code from the official repository with my personal one, making it compile and work on my system. I was also experimenting with a way to convert ISO text to Unicode, as a way to load correctly files that include characters with umlauts or from other languages, like Greek.

I was based on another plugin and the codesets library to do this conversion, which seems to work quite well. To enable it, the user needs to enable the codesets plugin, like any other plugin. After that, and when lite-xl is running, two new menu options are available to open and save a file with a specific encoding. By default, this new plugin reads the system encoding and uses that to open the files. Based on my tests, this is enough, but as it is an experimental plugin, I am curious to see how it works for others.

Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the typing in other encodings issue. I tracked it down to a specific SDL2 function that seems not to work when the keymap is changed. So, some specific event is not triggered, which is necessary for the print of the characters. It might be a limitation of the SDL2 itself. I will keep on looking into that.

The codesets plugin is only available for AmigaOS 4 for now. I am working on the MorphOS version. That's why I didn't release a new version of Lite XL for the MorphOS, which is in development.

The new release of Lite XL 2.1.2 got numerous performance improvements and fixes from the official team, which can be read on GitHub.

The AmigaOS4 version can be downloaded from my Git repository and soon from OS4Depot."

You can support the developer on ko-fi. (dr)

AmigaOS 4: Web browser NetSurf 3.11
After around three and a half years various test builds an update of the NetSurf browser to version 3.11 was published today, together with a version for AmigaOS 4, provided by Chris Young under the title link. NetSurf 3.11 features improved page layout with CSS flex support. It also features many other optimisations and enhancements. Changes of the Amiga port:
  • Added page theme option.
  • Improved bitmap handling.
  • Improved and optimised Unicode handling.
  • Stability improvements.
After initial tests on our part, the support for encrypted pages that had been lost in test builds is working again. Unfortunately, access to downloads from GitHub pages ("Assets") still does not work.

Officially, no conversion for AmigaOS 3 has (yet) been published, but the last test build from 28 December 2023, NetSurf-gcc-6637.lha (4,3 MB), should basically correspond to version 3.11. (dr)

8/16-bit emulator for Mac OS and Linux: Clock Signal V2023-12-26
Thomas Harte's Clock Signal is an emulator for various 8- and 16-bit platforms aiming to be invisible to the user. The idea is to simply start the source medium without configuring the emulator oneself. Clock Signal is available for Mac OS and Unix-compatible systems. While there is also an Amiga emulation included, it "remains wilfully inaccurate" for now. Changes:
  • improves support for Apple II NIB images;
  • thanks to @ryandesign corrects Apple II/II+/IIe floating bus issues;
  • resolves a potential crash-at-startup for the Enterprise;
  • resolves potential stuck-on drive motors on the Amiga;
  • resolves some disk writing issues specific to the Enhanced Apple IIe;
  • thanks again to @ryandesign also corrects an internal optimisation around Disk II write protection sensing, and an error to do with data bus loading
  • adds emulation of the most basic form of IBM PC — an 8086 compatible with MDA or CGA graphics and a floppy drive.

Preview video: Hyperborea Resurrected
Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener is in the process of continuing a project that was started four years ago and interrupted in the meantime (YouTube videos): back then, he began developing a new shoot 'em up called "Hyperborea" with graphic designer Torben Bakager Larsen, who was also responsible for Battle Squadron, among other things.

Everything from the original prototype code was discarded, started from scratch and only some auxiliary functions from Souverän Soccer were adopted. Technically, the game is as good as finished and has the following features:
  • 304 x 256 PAL @ 50 fps (almost always ;) )
  • vertical scroller with additional horizontal scrolling (384 pixel wide levels)
  • 1p and 2p simultan mode
  • 100% flicker free bullets and enemies
  • tons of bullets
TTorben Bakager Larsen is back on board, the strict colour restrictions of the old version have been removed. The game is mostly developed in C++ and about 10% in ASM. The video shows the current test level with some enemies and many, many bullets on an A1200 with deactivated turbo card / FastRam. (dr)

MeMo History (ANF)

Memory game: MeMO 3.20
Simone 'saimo' Bevilacqua has released an update to his memory game MeMO. It is based on the classic memory card game, but in his implementation two players can compete against each other at the same time and compete for the best score.

MeMO requires a 68020 processor and the ECS chipset.

Changes in version 3.20:
  • Replaced Nebulus' card with Ring around the World's
  • Fixed a stray pixel in Bubble Dizzy's card
  • Built against latest custom framework (which ensures that the system MMU setup does not interfere)
  • Touched up manual

Merry Christmas!
Dear readers, dear Amiga friends,

As Christmas draws to a close, so does the year and we would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal readers, for whom we have endeavoured over the past twelve months not only to collect news, but also to provide background reports, tutorials, anecdotes and so on. It is fascinating how many private, but also professional projects still exist around the Amiga.

Therefore, on the other hand, thanks should also go to all the people who develop these small and large software and hardware projects and sacrifice time for them: without them there would be nothing for us to report on and nothing for the many Amiga users to be happy about, test, complain about... ;)

For this reason, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year together with a few randomly selected people who represent all the projects we have reported on over the past year! Stay in touch with the developers, the creatives, support them, also by actively participating in discussions in the corresponding news items here: Feedback is always welcome! A big thank you to the graphic designer 'jojo073', who provided us with the Christmas pixel art.

Merry Christmas!

(dr)

Platform game: Demo version of "Terryble Knight"
The author of the RedPill game construction kit, Carlos 'Zener' Peris, started this game project because he wanted to test the slope system in RedPill. With RedPill version 0.9.32, also released today, this slope system has been greatly improved. "Terryble Knight" (YouTube video) uses the assets of Ansimuz, a very good and productive pixel artist. The music was provided by 'Fireb0y'. (dr)

Shoot 'em Up: Early demo version of "NEON world" (V0.0.4)
After Frank Neumann had not programmed anything for the Amiga with assembler for 30 years, he wants to get back into it with the shoot 'em up "NEON world". This early demo version now has its first opponents, even if the score is not yet calculated correctly. The game uses the free graphics set "NEONworld", which Kevin Saunders made available as part of the Amiga Art Contest 2020 (amiga-news.de reported). The game should run on an Amiga 500.
