MorphOS: Player für Android-Bootanimationen
Carsten Siegners Bootanimplayer spielt unter MorphOS Bootanimationen ab, die ursprünglich für für ein Adroid Gerät gedacht sind. Entsprechende Animation sind beispielsweise bei android-hilfe.de zu finden.
Das Archiv enthält neben dem fertigen Tool auch den Quellcode des Programms.

AmigaOS 4: Arcade-Emulator FinalBurn Alpha 0.2.97.36 R1
FinalBurn Alpha emuliert diverse Arcade-Automaten sowie Spielkonsolen, darunter Sega Master System und MegaDrive, Colecovision, Capcom CS-1/2/3 und Neo Geo.
Die AmigaOS-4-Version von Hugues 'HunoPPC' Nouvel laufe mit aktivierten Grafikfiltern auf dem AmigaOne X1000 gut, ohne diese aber auch genauso auf dem Sam440. Die Konfigurationsoberfläche bietet viele Einstellmöglichkeiten und insgesamt werden über 8.000 ROMs unterstützt (die allerdings nicht beiliegen). Einige der Neuerungen hat Hugues Nouvel auch auf der diesjährigen Alchimie vorgeführt (Video).

AROS: Wöchentliche Fortschritte (ab 02.11.2015)
Allwöchentlich fasst Krzysztof 'Deadwood' Śmiechowicz die jüngsten Fortschritte der AROS-Programmierer zusammen. In den letzten beiden Wochen wurden vor allem die Arbeiten an der USB-Unterstützung und dem ALSA-Audiotreiber jeweils für die linuxgehostete AROS-Fassung vorangetrieben.
Week of November 2nd:
- Work on USB support for Linux hosted AROS continues (DizzyOfCRN)
- USB devices are now enumerated and visible in Trident using Linux hosted USB driver (DizzyOfCRN)
- Bulk transfers are now enabled in Linux hosted AROS USB driver (DizzyOfCRN)
- Linux hosted AROS can now receive keyboard input even without mouse pointer being in the AROS window (neil)
- Storage USB devices can now be accessed using Linux hosted AROS USB driver (DizzyOfCRN)
- A problem in Linux hosted AROS related with Linux side libraries using separate threads has been fixed (deadwood)
- ALSA audio driver for Linux hosted AROS transfers better chunked data for improved playback stability (deadwood)
Week of November 9th:
- IoErr() handling in datatypes.library has been improved (neil)
- ALSA audio driver for Linux hosted AROS now supports volume control (deadwood)
- MUIM_List_Remove method in MUI List class now supports MUIV_List_Remove_Selected mode (neil)
- Notification now occurs when MUIA_List_Active changes as a result of deleting all selected entries (neil)

Neue A1200-Gehäuse: Vorbestellung noch verfügbarer Sondereditionen
Vergangenen Monat war das Kickstarter-Projekt zur Herstellung neuer, verbesserter Amiga-1200-Gehäuse im zweiten Anlauf erfolgreich (amiga-news.de berichtete). Die Auslieferung wird voraussichtlich Ende März erfolgen.
Wer sich an der Kampagne nicht beteiligt hat oder zusätzlich zu seinem bereits bezahlten Gehäuse eine (weitere) der noch verfügbaren Sondereditionen erwerben möchte, hat unter dem Titellink jetzt Gelegenheit dazu. Zudem können neben den limitierten Sondereditionen auch die regulären Gehäuse vorbestellt werden, diese werden allerdings über den Händler AmigaStore.eu abgewickelt. (snx)

AmigaOS 4: Tabellenkalkulation Ignition beta3
Achim Pankalla hat ein Update der Tabellenkalkulation Ingnition für AmigaOS 4 veröffentlicht. Es wurden zahlreiche Probleme der Vorversion beseitigt und erstmals neben reinen Portierungsarbeiten auch die Funktionalität überarbeitet: Der Turbocalc-Import sowie der Import und Export von CSV-Dateien wurden verbessert. Laptop mit vorinstalliertem UAE: A-EON stellt A.L.I.C.E. vor
A.L.I.C.E. ("A Laptop Incorporating a Classic Experience"), der auf der Amiga 30 in Neuss erstmals angekündigte Laptop auf x86-Basis, wird von A-EON jetzt in einer offiziellen Pressemitteilung detaillierter beschrieben.
Der Laptop bootet direkt in eine auf Amiga Forever und AmiKit basierende Emulation, die unter Linux läuft - dabei kann der Anwender "Windows- und Linux-Anwendungen direkt von der Workbench aus starten".
Multimedia-Dateien, Dokumente und Internet-Adressen werden wohl prinzipiell in (Linux-) MPlayer, LibreOffice und Firefox geöffnet, ansonsten sei Linux aber "komplett [vor dem Anwender] versteckt". A.L.I.C.E bootet auf Wunsch auch in eine normale Windows- oder Linux-Umgebung. Auch AmigaOS 4 kann in einer Emulation ausgeführt werden, vorausgesetzt der Anwender stellt AmigaOS 4 sowie die Picasso- und Cyberstorm-ROMs zur Verfügung.
In der Pressmitteilung, die wohl ursprünglich zur AmiWest veröffentlicht werden sollen, ist die Rede davon dass man auf der Veranstaltung einen "Prototypen" präsentieren wolle. Ein Termin für die Markteinführung oder ein voraussichtlicher Preis wird nicht genannt. (cg)

Amiga-Emulator: WinUAE 3.2 emuliert PCI-Lösungen und Bridgeboards
Mit Version 3.2 des bekannten Amiga-Emulators WinUAE wird eine ganze Reihe zusätzlicher Hardware-Erweiterungen erstmals emuliert, außerdem wurde der 680x0 JIT und die PPC-Emulation 64-bit kompatibel gemacht. WinUAE benötigt jetzt einen Prozessor mit SSE2-Befehlssatzerweiterung (Pentium 4 oder neuer).

- Memory accesses only -cycle-exact mode
- UAE devices (uaeserial etc) are compatible with KS 1.2 and older
- Improved compatibility with very old A500 config files
Beseitigte Fehler:
- WinPCap network mode didn't detect any devices
- 68030 data cache emulation fixes
- Custom to/from RTG mode switch didn't check for filter changes
- JIT on/off on the fly change (outside of GUI) was unreliable
- Keyboard layout changed (B/C only) during device re-enumeration
- D3D9 non-shader mode forgot scanline texture when switching modes
- Audio wave recording created huge broken wave files
- It was not possible to select HDF PCMCIA SRAM and IDE options
- Flash ROM and RTC file dialogs didn't allow creation of new files
