According to the developer, he tried several times to contact Atari about a license. After no reply the developer changed the title of the game and "various other things" to avoid copyright problems. Turbo Sprint was entirely written in assembler. To be as close as possible to the original Atari machine, which uses a resolution of 512x384 with 32 or more colors, the game runs in interlace mode and requires an AGA Amiga. A demo version, limited to five minutes running time, can be downloaded for free. The full version, also available as a download, comes in at around 11 British pounds (12.66 euros).
