AmigaOS 3.9 - First Details...
Haage & Partner published the first details of the new AmigaOS 3.9. The list
is preliminary and does not contain all functions, but it gives you a first glimpse.
- Multimedia programs (MP3 player, AVI & QT player, new CD player)
- Web browser AWEB 3.4 SE (new version)
- GENESIS (full internet access and networking)
- AmiDOCK (new program startbar)
- WarpOS 5.0 (new version)
- IOmegaTools (for Zip and Jaz)
- New professional shell (with extensive preferences)
- Automatic filetype recognition
- Easy decruncher (lha, lzx, dms, zip ...)
- Fast search function (searching of and within files)
- New picture datatype (PPC-optimized)
- Many new tools (ASLPrefs, new Info dialog, new clock, font cache, new color wheel)
- Extensive HTML documentation (German and English)
This preliminary list shows only an extract of the new functions. A more detailed
list will be shortly released. Changes are possible anytime!

Repulse Soundcard
The Repulse soundcard can be preordered. After Jens Schönfeld has
made it public that he will manufacture the Repulse soundcard, the ALiENDESiGN

Exodus with PPC Support
Piotr Pawlowski who runs the Polish amiga-news.de site
has received the confirmation of Mariusz Samson, one of the programmers of Exodus,
that there'll be a PPC version of Exodus for certain!

Frogger

Frogger Version 1.62 beta 3 for 68k and PPC Released
The new beta version 1.62 beta 3 of the MPEG1/2 decoder 'Frogger' has been released, and
for the AC3 decoder 'ac3dec' there is a little bugfixing as version 0.81.
