WHDLoad: New pakages since Marc, the 3rd
With WHDLoad it becomes possible to install games and scene demos to harddisk which were originally intended for floppy disk use only. Also several incompatibilties with the younger Amiga models are removed.

Development environment: Cubic IDE 1.9
The servicepack 9 of the development environment Cubic IDE comes with an internal PNG picture decoder, thus it isn't dependent on datatypes any longer and fixes the problem of possible crashes due to buffer overflow within teh rendering routine.

MorphOS: OpenTTD 0.5.1-RC1

WinUAE: AmiKit 1.3.2
AmiKit which is a complete distribution for WinUAE users is now available in version 1.3.2. The update can be installed with the integrated live update function or manually. Have a look at the changes here.

Team AROS: Two bounty projects completed
At weekend two Team AROS bounties were completed: The DOS-paket-support as well as the VIA Rhine II-driver (inclusive arosTCP-update).
For the next weekend the first alpha version of an USB stack for AROS will be expected.

AmiBroker: Keyfile released
Tomasz Janeczko, the author of AmiBroker which is a stock exchange analyzing program has released a keyfile for his Amiga program. For several years only the Windows version of this program is developed further and sold.

MorphOS: Blender animation "Efika - das Mini-Movie"
Carsten Siegner is making available an animation which was produced completely - including cutting and scoring - with the 3D package Blender 2.4.2a and should demonstrate its possibilities under MorphOS.
The video is available in OGM format, so for smooth viewing, at least MPlayer 1.0 rc1 is required.

Browser: Paihia development facing discontinuation
After three years of work on a new Amiga browser (reported by amiga-news.de), the author is considering to possibly give his project to the hands of another developer, since he himself has no interest in a continuation anymore.

AmigaOS 4: GNU make 3.81-6
Version 3.81-6 of the GNU make conversion for AmigaOS 4 was compiled with the newest beta SDK and solves the problem of alias losses when using the AmigaShell. Additionally, file paths can be converted via the make functions amigapath and posixpath.

Emulator: WinUAE 1.4.1 released

amigaweb.net announces English print magazine "#amiga guide"
The Amiga portal amigaweb.net has announced a print magazine which is about the Amiga. The product is called #amiga guide which is supposed to have 20 pages and will be published four times a year. Each issue is supposed to have at least four colourful pages.
A magazine will cost 8 Euro and all four issues 25 Euro. First reading samples are available under the title link.

MorphOS: Grafikprogramm Lunapaint 0.3.2
Ilkka "itix" Lehtoranta has ported the TVPaint inspired gfx program Lunapaint, whose sources were recently opened, to MorphOS.
The archive contains the MorphOS binary only and requires additional data from the original AROS distribution.
