FPGA accelerator board: Vampire 2 (A600) becomes more expensive
According to "kipper2k", who is the producer of the FPGA-based accelerator board Vampire II (A600), the price for one board will increase from 150 Euro to 250 or 289 Euro because "the orders are much greater than the production rate and i cannot cope with the demand". Therefore the only option is to "to have the boards assembled by a board house to increase production".
From now the Vampire II is available in two different versions. The price for the standard version, which is euqal to previous ones, will be 250 Euro. The "Black Edition" is equipped with a faster CPU ("x13 clockspeed") and will be available for 289 Euro. If you have already paid in advance, then you will get your commercially assembled board for 150 Euro.
In Future the next 100 persons who had preordered will be asked to pay in advance and after getting the money the next production will be started. About four to five weeks later, the customer will get his board.
kipper2k also wrote: "We understand that this price hike appears high, Prices have been held low from day 1 and all prepaid orders on Amibay are being honoured by Majsta at a loss. These preorders have allowed the development of the project to be completed so the people who have supported the project from the beginning will reap the benefits of their investment."

AmigaOS 3: 8-Bit graphic programm Personal Paint 7.3b
The free "maintainance" update of the 8-Bit graphi programm Personal Paint now is also available for AMigaOS 3, which fixes several minor bugs. Version 7.3b is available for free to all existing customers. You can download it at ppaint.com.
Additional to the bug fixes, an optional black pictogramm set created by Martin 'Mason' Merz is available. Besides, the new InfoWindow class, known from the Enhancer package, is provided and used for the online help.

Event: Finnish Amiga Users Group's Saku 2016 Event on September 24th
Press release: Finnish Amiga Users Group hold their 9th Saku event in Oulu, Finland, on Saturday, September 24th. The event will feature many classic Amiga setups from A500 to A4000, FPGA computers like Minimig and MIST, Commodore 64, and several next generation systems. There will also be a presentation about the Hollywood programming language and the documentary film "From Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years!" will be shown on a big screen.
Finnish Amiga retailer Gentle Eye will be present with some Amiga goodies, and the users group is getting new promotional products just for the event. Admittance is free of charge and refreshments will be available. Saku 2016 will start at 14 o'clock on September 24th at Oulun Tetra ground floor conference room at Mäkelininkatu 31. WHDLoad: New installers until 17.09.2016

Emulator: FS-UAE 2.7.16dev
Frode Solheim's FS-UAE is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BSD and based on WinUAE and "includes an easy-to-use graphical configuration program which allows you to enjoy FS-UAE and Amiga emulation without writing configuration files." Beta version 2.7.16dev is a bug fix release.

AROS-Distribution: Icaros Desktop 2.1.3

According to Patrick Nevian, today the pressed CDs of his action adventure "Tales of Gorluth II" which was created with Backbone has been finished:

TCP-Stack: Beta tester for Roadshow needed
For an update of the TCP-stack Roadshow a beta tester is needed, who is supposed to test the software. The test computer should be equipped with a 68000-processor and at least Kickstart 2.04. GPSTool: Testing GPS devices and recording tracks (AmigaOS 3, MorphOS, AROS)
GPSTool written by Marcus 'ALB42' Sackrow is a programm for testing GPS devices like Garmin eMap, NaviLock GPS NL-602U USB or Stoton G-702) and for recording tracks on the Amiga. The paths are saved in the GPX-Format, which can be imported by many programms, among others by Mapparium written by the same author. GPSTool is available for AmigaOS 3, AROS and MorphOS. It uses the NMEA protocol to operate.

Hollywood application: APPBuilder V1.3 released
APPBuilder written by Fabio 'Allanon' Falcucci simplifies compiling Hollywood programms and helps assembling the distribution archives. Version 1.3 provides improvements for the plugin management and suppports additional Hollywood plugins. Besides, some minor bugs have been fixed. APPBuilder is Shareware but the unregistered version does not have any limitations.
