Event: Pianeta Amiga 2013 (Italy)
The 15th Pianeta Amiga will take place on 14th and 15 December in Bologna. Among others ACube Systems, A-EON Technology, Cloanto, AmigaKit and the Bitplane-magazine will take part. According to the organizers, the event will be a "milestone for the whole community" and by taking part in the event, you can become "part of the change".
The entrance is free but donations are very welcome (on the currently still not updated website) to "help for the rental of the location for event".

AmigaOS 4: Remake of "Battle Squadron" available
For some time, Cope-Com has been selling a port of its Amiga classic Battle Squadron for iOS and Android. From now on a port for modern desktop computers is available as well, for Windows, OS X and AmigaOS 4.

AmigaOS 4: JAmiga 1.2
Joakim Nordström has released beta version 1.2 of his Java-port JAmiga which is financed by donations. You can find a list of changes under the title link, among others the support of the function java.io.Console by using the javanio.library.

AmigaOS 4: AmigaAMP 3.12
Thomas Wenzel has updated his music player AmigaAMP. Changes in version 3.12:
- Auto depth-arrange attached windows in skinned mode
- Revised window dragging routine in skinned mode
- Added cover display
- Added "FilePath" config option
- Changed loading of whole directories to pattern matching files only
- Big internal code change, switched unskinned main- and playlist-window to ReAction

X1000: Linux-Kernel 3.12
Christian 'xeno74' Zigotzky has integrated Darren Stevens' changes to version 3.11 of the Linux-kernel into version 3.12 which was released yesterday and provides a compiled X1000-adaption of the kernel.

Putty Squad: Release failed due to disks
After the announcement to make available the so far unreleased full version of the Amiga game Putty Squad (amiga-news.de reported) and after our unanswered requests, if it might be the well-known demo version handele, System 3 now back-pedals:
In a video interview with Eurogamer under the title link, the CEO, Mark Cale, told (from minute 7 on) that currently options are considered but the original project could not be put into action because nobody could create the Amiga-disks to then add them to the collector's edition of the new HD-version for PC, Mac and consoles.

Ancient Domains of Mystery: ADOM 1.2.0 Prerelease 18
After the successful donation campaign in the last year and several non-public preversions for the investors, Thomas Biskup and Jochen Terstiege present the current prerelease 18 of ADOM 1.2.0 for the general public.
The Roguelike-role playing game is an update of the classic Ancient Domains of Mystery.

MorphOS: First beta version of new printing system
Michal 'zukow' Zukowski is working on a port of parts of the CUPS-infrastructure for MorphOS, financed by a bounty. Meanwhile a first, very early beta version is available, which according to the author "sends tons of debug and can crash". Color profiles are not supported in this version.

ACube will attend Alchimie and bring a "software surprise" for AmigaOS 4
About 150 Amiga users will attend the tenth issue of the Alchimie (9th until 11th November, Tain l'Hermitage, France). ACube (represented by CEO Enrico Vidale and webmaster Stefano Guidetti) also will attend the event and bring AmigaOS 4-users a "software surprise".

X1000: Linux-Kernel 3.11 and a new version of openSUSE 12.3
Darren Stevens made available version 3.11 of the Linux kernel for the AmigaOne X1000 (download site), which better supports power save modes of modern RadeonHD graphic chips and possibly can handle network packages faster.

Full version: "Outpost - The Final Battle"
"Outpost - The Final Battle" is a Shareware game released in 1991 which is, similar to Pirates or Defender of the Crown, a simple strategy game with arcade elements (Screenshots). Amigapd.com now got the permission to offer the full version for download.

AROS complete system AresOne (late 2013) and Ares Cube S available
According to Pascal Papara, the AROS-computers "ARES mini M1000" and M1600 are not available any longer. They were replaced by the ARES Cube S and the "new" AresOne. The date will no longer be part of the name, "late 2013" was only added for "marking" the new version.
The AresOne now has a faster processor and integrated WiFi, supported by AROS. A Gallium-compatible graphic board is standard.
Because Broadway and AEROS r4 are still in progress, IcAROS desktop is installed. Special wishes can be discussed before ordering it.
