Marcus Sackrow's text editor EdiSyn for AROS/x86 offers tabs as well as syntaxhighlighting for C/C++, Pascal and HTML. Version 0.53 now is also available for Hollywood-programms.

MorphOS 3.8 public release with Sam460 and 4K support
Press release: The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 3.8, which introduces support for ACube´s Sam460 series of mainboards and numerous Radeon graphics cards from AMD´s X1000 and HD series. In addition to various performance improvements related to the Quark kernel, Exec, 3D graphics and video playback, MorphOS 3.8 also adds the ability to use state-of-the-art 4K displays in their native resolution. We at Hyperion Entertainment CVBA are more than thrilled about the overwhelming success our customers made out of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition! Thank you!
Actually the success is so great, causing especially the supply of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for Classic to dry up during the last weeks and some of your preferred dealers even ran out of stock already, which is of course unacceptable!
In order to remedy this drawback, Hyperion Entertainment CVBA commissioned the production of another batch of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition for Classic, which will be available to and from dealers before the end of May - yes, 2015 ;) So if you did not get a copy yet or want another one for your shelf, place your preorder at your favorite dealer now!
Good news for interested A3000 owners: of course we took advantage of this opportunity and fixed the Kicklayout to allow proper booting on A3000 machines without the need for a special bootdisk.
And also some good news for all existing AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition owners: with immediate effect the CD images of your registered AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition version(s) are available in the restricted download area. If not done already, please log in yourself and register your copies by entering the serial numbers in the registration form. We hope we eliminated in this way the fear of a broken CD some of you expressed.
In closing, thank you all again for making the huge success of AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition possible in the first place! This is the best support you can give us for developing AmigaOS, so let's continue to stick together :-)

AROS: FUSE file system bounty project in progress again
Already in December, instead of Leif Salomonsson, Fredrik 'salass00' Wikstrom started working on implementing the FUSE-framework to AROS. It is a complete adaption of the filesysbox.library and not only a recompilation of the version of AmigaOS-4.
According to a statement, the time schedule (May 31st) cannot be achieved. Currently so far 202 US-Dollar has been donated. Krzysztof 'deadwood' Śmiechowicz has offered to double each donation until 500 Dollar has been achieved.

PDF-Magazine: REV'n'GE 33 (Italian/English)
The PDF-magazine REV'n'GE ("Retro Emulator Vision and Game") is available in Italian as well as in an English-language translation. The game reviews of the REV'n'GE compare the releases of classic games between different former platforms.

Full versions for download: Cybernetix, Bangboo, kleine Gilde, Alien Fish Finger
Amiga Arena has made available the full versions of the shooter Cybernetix as well as of the puzzle game Bangboo for free download again. Additionally the last two versions of the realtime economy simulation die kleine Gilde is available again. Amiga Future offers the shoot'n run Alien Fish Finger as download.

AmigaOS 4 / AROS / MorphOS: Demo version of "Wings Battlefield"
After the release of the preview video in December, under the title link Cherry Darling has released a demo version of "Wings Battlefield". The game emulates the air fight sequences of the Cinemaware classic Wings - now with up to four players.

AROS: Aros Vision X86 1.0
As announced, there are now different versions of Olaf Schönweiß' AROS/68k-distribution "Aros Vision". Aros Vision X86 is based on the Windows-hosted version of AROS, that means it can be started as application under Windows without using VMware or having some special hardware (screenshot). The disadvantage: So far sound or network are not supported.
The distribution is based on Magellan featuring some major improvements, supports Mesa/Gallium and includes the game engine Antiryad (a debug-requester will appear but it does work), Free Pascal, many emulators, some games and many applications like AmiFIG or Lunapaint.

MorphOS: Another bounty project for developing free software
Under the title link, Yannick 'Papiosaur' Buchy has established another bounty project which is supposed to provide money to developers of free MorphOS software. The names of the developers are listed under the title link.
If you are going to donate you can do that using the PayPal-link on the home page of the user group WArMUp. So far 57 Euro have been donated.
