New AROS SDK for AmiDevCpp
For AmiDevCpp which is an integrated developing environment with which you can compile Windows-, AROS, AmigaOS 3/4-, MorphOS- and AROS-software there is the newest version of the AROS SDK. You can install it with the help of in package manager which is integrated in the AmiDevCpp.

Emerald Web: The Emerald Mine collection

AmigaGuide-/HTML-viewer: strangé 0.15 Pre Final
strangé is a MUI-based AmigaGuide-/HTML-viewer which is based on HTMLView.mcc. Changes in version 0.15 Pre Final (for 68k-users there is a slightly limited version 0.14):
- added search bar
- CM is now hideable
- reworked prefs
- strange can now open any number of tabs (depending on HTMLview version)
- clever buttons functionality
- reload menu item now gets dis/enabled when needed
- stop buttons stops only the active tab connections, while menu stop item stops all
- menu open item worked in a differ way then the popup popasl button: fixed
- background and text colors are now user adjustable for text and image files
- Gunther Nikl provided fixed mos native png decoder, so now png pics are rendered in a fine way in strangé \o/
- added a couple of arguments: INACTIVE (the window is opened not active) and COMPACT (visionary compact mode; it justs stretches the main group atm)
- strangé is now distributed with a beta HTMLview which can open any numnber of tabs, doesn't destroy pics if a tab is hidden and other various hacks
- new default buttons pics bar; it is now even internal, so that if you like it, you don't need to install an "img" drawer at all
- reworked installer script; it evens shows pics lol
- many other bugs fixes

Emulator: Preview to WinUAE 1.4.6
As usual the developers of the well-known Amiga emulator WinUAE have given a short preview to the forthcoming version. WinUAE 1.4.6 will be published in one or two weeks and will be the last revision of the emulator which will run on Windows 98/ME.

MorphOS: Alpha version of PyMUI / Python 2.4.4
Guillaume 'Yomgui' Roguez provides a first alpha version of PyMUI, a Python module to use MUI, at the title link.
The module works with MUI 3 as well as with MUI 4,but supports the MUI 3.8.API
Furthermore the author released a new version of his MorphOS port of the programming language Python.

AmigaOS 4: Origyn web browser 1.6 (update)
Jörg Strohmayer has released a new version of the SDL based browser OWB.
The update uses shared objects and requires libSDL-1.2.so (amiga-news.de reported)
in directory SOBJS:.

Meanwhile version 1.6 is available which uses further shared objects instead of staticly linked objects.

AmigaOS 4: SDL 1.2.11 as a "Shared Object"
Richard Drummond has published an update of the multimedia library SDL which is supposed to make it more easy for programmers to develop portable applications and which is used by many Open-Source games.
The current version of SDL (changelog) is now implemented as a "Shared Object". This means it will be linked by SDL applications only at the start of the program - similar to the library principle of AmigaOS.

A/NES 1.16b2 (AGA)
The updated version of the Nintendo Entertainment System emulator A/NES includes some bug fixes. Additionally the program now emulates the noise of the optional NES-disk drives with the help of the Amiga drive.
With this update the author probably will finish the development of A/NES because of a lack of time. Additionally the interest of the users has reduced.

AmigaSYS: Xtreme Racing as add on announced
With the permission of Tuna Technologies (formerly Silltunna Software) will be the car race Xtreme Racing from 1995 a part of AmigaSYS-package, a pre-configurated AmigaOS environment for WinUAE-, E-UAE-, Amiga 1200/4000- and the X-Box.
Screenshots and more information of the game and AmigaSYS are linked to the header. It is not planed to sale Xtreme Racing seperately.

MorphOS: SearchStar 0.93b, Gread 1.0f
Version 0.93b of the search program SearchStar fixes a bug by checking for the error "disk is full" now when saving.

Bob Wicksall has released a new version of his AmigaOS 4 port of the ColecoVision emulator ColEm by Marat Fayzullin. The update allows doubling the size of the screen display, and offers an improved AHI-based sound output, P96-based graphics output, as well as increased game compatibility.
