MorphOS: Scanner-Anwendung SCANdal 1.1

Michal "zukow" Zukowski hat seine Scanner-Anwendung von MuiScan in SCANdal umbenannt und ein Update veröffentlicht. Nach eigenen Angaben arbeitet Zukowski bereits an der Portierung neuer Scanner-Treiber aus dem SANE-Projekt.

Änderungen in SCANdal 1.1:
  • Locales, (gui)fixes
  • Gamma slider (if scanner supports it)
  • Brightness slider (if scanner supports it)
  • Negative checkmark (if scanner supports it)
  • Auto suffix adding switch
  • Overwrite ask switch
  • Project name changed: muiscan -> SCANdal

IRC-Client: WookieChat 2.12 Beta 8

James 'jahc' Carroll stellt ein Update seines MUI-basierten IRC-Clients WookieChat (AmigaOS 3/4, MorphOS, AROS) zur Verfügung. Die Änderungen in dieser Version sind dem Changelog zu entnehmen.

Instant Messenger: SabreMSN 0.56

Ebenfalls von James 'jahc' Carroll stammt der MUI-basierte MSN-Messenger SabreMSN, der für AmigaOS 3/4 und AROS zur Verfügung steht. Änderungen in Version 0.56:
  • "contact has added you to his list, add them to your own contacts list?" stuff was broken in last release. Just crashed.
  • Header messages are ignored now. So irrelvant stuff will be filtered out from the chat. This one goes out to Kicko! hehe. Let me know if it goes okay.

Echtzeit-Strategie: Exodus unter AmigaOS 4.1

"crack" beschreibt in einer Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung, wie man das Echtzeit-Strategical Exodus: The last War unter AmigaOS 4.1 zur Kooperation überredet.

Update des Arcade-Spiels BOH

Von Simone Bevilacquas kommerziellem Arcade-Spiel BOH steht ein weiteres Update zur Verfügung:
  • makes the game run natively on Linux (requires an x86 CPU, SDL 1.2 and SDL_mixer-1.2);
  • avoids the restart of the whole program upon theme change (very useful when playing in full screen, as the monitor does not need to re-sync);
  • adds themes randomization options;
  • adds the "USE ENHANCED WEAPONS" option (makes killing enemies easier);
  • slows down the blinking of the automapper direction indicator;
  • adds video mode suggestions;
  • fixes a minor bug in the zoom selection handling (in rare cases it could cause an illegal memory access);
  • fixes bad centering at 4x zoom (a couple of parentheses were missing);
  • links the AmigaOS version to the latest SDL;
  • links the Windows version to a fresh build of the custom framework (by mistake an outdated framework had been used with the consequence that, on some machines, input handling was partially broken);
  • includes some graphical retouches to the themes "castle" and "warm";
  • adds synopses to the phases of the mission "tougher and tougher";
  • updates and improves the user's manual;
  • improves some translations;
  • some other changes.

Außerdem wurde jetzt auch eine Linux-Portierung von BOH veröffentlicht. (cg)
