PDF viewer: RNOPDF for Amigas without graphics board
The first version of the PDF viewer RNOPDF, written with Hollywood, was released one and a half year ago for AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS for Amigas equipped with a graphics board. Now also a version for ESC and AGA Amigas is available.

Internal Flickerfixer/Scandoubler for A500/A2000 under free licence
Niklas Ekström is working on a FPGA-based Scandoubler/Flickerfixer which can be internally used in an Amiga 500 or 2000. In a first development stage a DE10-Lite-FPGA-developer board is connected to the pins of the custom chip "Denise". The FPGA generates a VGA signal from the CSYNC and 12-Bit-RGB signals. Originally the next step would have been a completed board equipped with FPGA and a SDRAM module directly put on the Denise.

The team of the Spanish-language website Amigatronics has started a video series on its YouTube channel about movies and TV series presenting an Amiga. In the first issue an Amiga 4000 in the movie "Quantum Apocalypse" 2010) is introduced. According to the team this is the only performance of this model.

Review: Video production under AmigaOS 4
In his blog the musician and Amiga programmer Andy Broad has explained how he cut and mixed his Youtube video "One Man Band" (playing two guitar parts as well as bass) using Audio Evolution and Blender under AmigaOS 4 - only for the audio recordings a Linux laptop was used.

Porting Amiga applications on Linux: AxRuntime
Krzysztof 'deadwood' Śmiechowicz' "AxRuntime" is a runtime environment for Linux which emulates the AmigaOS-API and therefore enables porting Amiga applications on Linux and developing applications which can be compiled for AmigaOS/MorphOS/AROS as well as Linux. Examples videos show the AROS desktop Wanderer (MP4) and gmPlayer (MP4) under Linux.
In a discussion on AmigaWorld Śmiechowicz explained that currently the APIs of AmigaOS 3.1, CybergraphX, AHI, MUI as well as of some open source libraries and classes are supported but "It is the intend to eventually support API from all (Amiga)families".

AmigaOS 4: JAmiga 1.3
On Sourceforge Joakim Nordström has released another beta version of his Java port "JAmiga" which originally was crowdfunded. As far as we can see though the last changes in the archive of the source code on SF are three years or more old. The changes in the latest release are not known.

Virus Help Team Denmark: VirusZ_III.Bootblocks updated
The "Virus Help Team Denmark" (VHT) has updated the collection of bootblocks for Georg Hörmann's VirusZ III due to the new trojaner on Aminet which includes a bootblock virus called "Jackal" - but the update also detects other bootblock viruses which have been found since the last release.

Edwin Van Den Oosterkamp's "Classic AmigaOS Programming" is an introduction in to Amiga OS programming in C and assembler. This book is meant for programmers without Amiga experiences or for former Amiga programmers who after a longer break are going to start developing software for the Amiga again.
