Weather tool: Wet 6.8 for AmigaOS 3 and 4
Chris Young - among others http-handler, ReAction-GUI for XAD Avalanche or Netsurf ports - has released an update for his weather tool 'Wet', which now also uses AmiSSL 5. Furthermore, the proxy server tooltype format has changed and now needs to be 'https://proxy-server:port'. The update requires a previous installation of version 6.7. Wet is available for AmigaOS 3.9 and 4.

Dock bar: WBDock 2 V2.604
Thomas Rapp has updated his dock bar 'WBDock 2' for AmigaOS 3.1 and to version 2.604. Changes:
- added special support for project icons with a default tool of Mount (for example from Devs/DosDrivers or Storage/DosDrivers): if the drive is already mounted, the context menu gets new items Unmount and Eject. If you run it again, it will eject the drive rather than issue an "already mounted" error message.
- added a new special position value which positions a dock relative to another dock. Using this you can implement sub-docks by adding wbdock config files to the dock.
- allows to change the icon label.
- supports multi-picture files using OS 3.9's PDTA_WhichPicture attribute.

Jump'n Run: Progress report on 'Creeping Me Out Hex Night'
Michael 'Mixel' Dawes regularly informs on his Twitch channel about the latest progress and developments of his Jump'n Run 'Creeping Me Out Hex Night', which is developed with the Game Construction Kit Scorpion Engine (amiga-news.de reported). Now the developer has summarized this information on his project page with an update richly illustrated and reports among other things about the first implementations of the multi-layered, overlapping parallax system recently integrated into the Scorpion Engine into his game, the start of work on another graveyard level or the new, improved world map.

WHDLoad: New installers until 11.06.2022
Using WHDLoad, games, scene demos and intros by cracking groups, which were originally designed to run only from floppy disks, can be installed on harddisk. The following installers have been added until 11.06.2022:
- 2022-06-11 improved: California Games (World of Wonders) correct DMA channels enabled, modulo problems fixed by correcting DDFSTOP, byte writes to volume register fixed (Info)

Farming simulation: Update of Farmiga
The Polish developer 'Tukinem' is writing a farming simulation in AMOS, which he has named 'Farmiga' (amiga-news.de reported). Yesterday he has released an update providing the following changes:
- Fences can be bought in the building shop
- Introduced tax system (it is best to start with potatoes, as long as you don't have any animals
- Every interval a boar appears and you have to shoot each one that emerges from behind the trees (if you miss one, you lose one seedling)
- improved loading of the program (no pop-up screens with graphics)
- much smoother and faster planting and harvesting

AmiTube 1.1: YouTube client for all Amiga systems
Marcus 'ALB42' Sackrow's AmiTube enables watching YouTube videos on an 68k Amiga. They are converted to Commodore's CDXL format and downloaded.
With version 1.1 released today, the 'Fancy List' introduced a few days ago is integrated into the program: a new list function where title, description and thumbnail are displayed directly in the list (amiga-news.de reported). After switching to this variant, the images are loaded automatically, making it suitable only for faster Amigas/RTG or NG Amigas (YouTube video). The author tested the new feature on his Amiga 1200 with TF1260, AGA and 32 colors and found: "it’s not that bad, certainly fast enough to work with it." The changes in detail:
- Fancy movie list
- updated translation for italian and french
- encoding bug fixes (should show now umlauts and other non ASCII chars in title and description)
- smaller bugs fixes related downloading movies
The current version can be downloaded from the AmiTube website or installed via the update check in AmiTube. (dr)

PDF viewer: RNOPDF 1.5 for AmigaOS 3/4 and MorphOS
The developer 'jPV^RNO' has updated the pdf viewer 'RNOPDF' to version 1.5 which belongs to some other RNO applications like e.g. the FTP(S) client RNOXFER or the DTP application RNOPublisher. Changes:
- Added the JPEG support for exporting
- Exporting can be aborted with the Esc key
- More options when exporting via ARexx
- Added "Search next" and "Search back" options
- More complete localization support
- Added an Italian catalog (thanks Luca!)
- Older versions of reqtools.library work too (v38)
- Added window resizing options in the Control menu
RNOPDF is available for AmigaOS 3/4 (for OS3 currently being uploaded to the Aminet) and MorphOS as well as for Windows and Mac.

MorphOS: Bounty amount for new graphics card drivers reached
After MorphOS team developer Mark 'Bigfoot' Olsen offered a bounty project for better OpenGL support as well as additional graphics card drivers, the funding goal has now been reached thanks to a particularly large individual donation from Wiktor 'Pampers' Głowacki. (snx)

Print magazine: Amiga Future "Amiga 37" edition planned
In October the "Amiga 37" will take place in Mönchengladbach, Germany. Amiga disks on PC: DrawBridge 2.8.8 / FloppyBridge 1.2
Robert Smith's project "DrawBridge" (Disk Reader and Writer Bridge) uses like the similar ADF Drive a microcontroller - in this case an Arduino board - to read and write Amiga floppies with a connected standard PC floppy drive. By means of the plugin FloppyBridge, WinUAE is also officially supported since version 4.9.0.
DrawBridge has been updated to version 2.8.8 providing the following changes:
- Added support for reading and writing track 82 and 83 (firmware update needed too, not all drives support this anyway)
- Fixed a mistake in diagnostics suggesting pin A0 was write protect, it's A1!
- Now hides any CH340 com ports from the list as they're incompatible anyway
- Fixed compiling under Linux
Changes of the latest version 1.2 of FloppyBridge:
- Added no-click disk check when it has to be done manually
- Added support for tracks 82 and 83 if supported by the drive (firmware update needed for DrawBridge)
- Updated Greaseweazle driver to also support Shugart interfaces
- Some cosmetic fixes
Prior installation of the new DrawBridge firmware 1.9.25 is required. (dr)

Emulator: vAmigaWeb v2.1 beta2
vAmigaWeb is an Amiga emulator for the web browser or a Progressive Web App (PWA) based on the Amiga emulator for MacOS vAmiga. After its release of the second beta version of version 2.1, the developer 'mithrendal' has not only integrated this latest vAmigaCore2.1b2 into his application, but also some other changes:
- CPU overclocking up to 100Mhz (great for legendary titles like frontier/elite2 or fa-18 interceptor)
- PAL/NTSC hot switching (pixel ratio and 50/60 Hz chipset system speed)
- floppy drive and hard drive sounds and track display in the HUD
- completely reworked display sizes for overscan games like "the settlers"
- various bugfixes e.g. memory leaks, pixel precision and more

Amiga emulator for MacOS: vAmiga 2.1b2
By releasing version 2.0 (amiga-news.de reported), developer Dirk Hoffmann has started the beta phase of version 2.1 of his Amiga emulator vAmiga for MacOS and has just released the second beta version. Changes:
Enhancements:
- Added NTSC support
- Kickstart 3.2.1 (Hyperion) is a recognised Rom now
Bug fixes:
- No more graphics glitches in DPaint IV overscan modes
- Null modem cable is no longer broken
- No more graphics glitches in Seven seas by Andromeda
- ShowConfig utility (Hyperion) does no longer crash with Kickstart 3.2
- Fixed an error in the Hunk parser
Refactoring:
- Now the line drawing code is invoked at the beginning of the HBLANK area

RTG driver: P96 V3.3.1 released
Jens Schönfeld (individual Computers) has released version 3.3.1 of his RTG driver P96, which can be bought or downloaded from the order history at iComp. This is again a minor service release providing the following features:
- The Cirrus5434.chip driver was broken (Piccollo64, Matze's graphics card) and did not switch back from direct color modes to chunky modes.
- One release of UAE had an issue by indicating that it would support mode mixing, but forgot to provide the necessary call-backs in some configurations. P96 provides now default call-backs avoiding the crash.
- Bitmap handling was simplified and streamlined.
- The Visiona driver supports now panning and interlace.
- The installer places now the P96 version into ENVARC:Picasso96/Version so you know what you have on the system.
- The installer no longer provides wrong default selections for the available boards in case the list of installed boards requires more than one page.
- The installer makes a very tiny consistency check on the unpacked files as some people unpacked on the PC, and then protection bits were incorrect.

Contest: Amiga Art Contest 2022
The "Amiga Art Contest 2022" (video) is organized by the Youtuber channel 10 Minute Amiga Retrocast and the graphics artist Kevin Saunders. Participants can submit their works in the categories of "Hand-drawn Artwork", "Digital Photography", "3D/Ray Tracing", "MOD/Music" and "Animation" (submissions of the previous years 2019, 2020 and 2021).
Only works created or (in the case of digital photographs) edited on an Amiga (real or emulated) are eligible. Deadline for entries is October 11, winners will be announced in an episode of the Youtube show "10 Minute Amiga Retrocast". (dr)

AmigaOS 4: Spreadsheet ignition 1.20, update of OpenDocument plugins
Achim Pankalla has released version 1.20 of the spreadsheet ignition which at least requires AmigaOS 4.1 update 6. Many bugs and problems have been solved and some minor new functions added. For example:
- Zoomen with ctrl and mousewheel
- Old column/row title will be displayed if they are not standard
- 22 new functions
- correct/update some functions
- correct some error
- turbocalc add-on extend and corrected
- some changes in the manual
The ods-addon was reworked as well. The addon allows loading and saving tables in OpenDocument format, which is used in LibreOffice/OpenOffice Calc among others.
Changes in ign-ods-addon 0.35:
- add new functions og ignition
- correct the problem, which appears after save a ods-file
