FPGA: Apollo-Core update Gold 2.12
The Apollo-Core is a FPGA reimplementation of the m68k series produced by Motorola which also provides a separate graphics driver called SAGA. The core is used in the Vampire accelerator boards 600 V2, 500 V2+ and 1200 V2.

Among other changes, version "Gold 2.12" provides new 15/16Bit-RTG modes, mouse improvements and an updated EmuTOS-ROM. (snx) (Translation: dr)

Tiny little Slug: Interview with the developer / new video
A week and a half ago, APC&TCP released the jump'n'run game "Tiny little Slug" written by André Zeps (amiga-news.de reported). This evening, on 22. March at 7 p.m. (German time), 'AmigaBill' will interview the developer in his video channel.

Teaser video: Action adventure "Verge World Icarus Rising"

Review: Remakes of old "Mutation Software" releases
In February Adrian Cummings announced that he is going to republish the games Tin Toy Adventure, Tommy Gun and Castle Kingdoms in order to develop new games for the Amiga afterwards. Crowdfunding: Video documentation "Amiga 2020"
The project "Amiga 2020" has been successfully financed on Kickstarter. On the occassion of the 35th anniversary of the Amiga, the object is to reflect the current state of the Amiga scene. This will be done by documenting several events and interviews with members of the community, developers and publishers. Frode Solheim's Amiga emulator FS-UAE provides the new features made in WinUAE to a cross-platform UAE version for Windows, Mac OS X and several Linux and BSD versions. Source text for Amiga-SNES cross assembler TAsm published
TAsm is a cross assembler which can create binaries for the SNES using the Amiga. In order to test the results on the console, a backup solution for Nintendo's hardware is required which can load games from disks. If a "Super Wildcard" is used, then the results of the assembler can be directly transfered to the destitaion device using a cable. more ... (cg) (Translation: dr)

Amigakit: 8-MB-RAM expansion for A1200
Amigakit offers a 8MB Fast RAM memory expansion for the Amiga 1200. Additional to the 8 MB Fast RAM the card provides a socket for installing a math coprocessor, "features a Real Time Clock header to install an optional Real Time Clock module" (availalbe for a special discount) as well as a second "second clockport header to give computer more expandability". The memory can be limited to 4 or 5,5 MB by using a "software patch added to startup-sequence" for using PCMCIA cards. (cg) (Translation: dr)

Preview videos: Shoot'em Up 'Boss Machine' (AGA)
'Boss Machine' is a horizontal scrolling shoot'em up written by Daniel Stephens‎ (Code), Kevin Saunders (Graphics) and Lee Smith (Music) which will run on AGA Amigas. Horizontal scrolling Shoot'em Up: Inviyya Demo v2
Inviyya which is inspired by the clssic game R-Type requires an Amiga 500 and according to the developers "will feature 6 levels, couple of special weapons, 3 layer parallax scrolling and nice music and sfx". A commercial release on Poly.play is planned. The team now has released a second playable demo version (video). (cg) (Translation: dr)

Arcade port: Tapper, version 1B
"Tapper" (video) is a port of the arcade classic from 1983 with the same name. The curennt level of development the author describes as an "early developer version" but the game already is playable and the author asks for your feedback regarding functioning on different non-emulated hardware configurations.
