SFX engine: Audio Mixer 3.7.2 (update)
Jeroen Knoester's Audio Mixer (video of version 2.0) allows you to mix up to four samples in real time on a single channel without generating a high CPU load (3.7% CPU load for 4 samples at 11KHz on a standard 1MB A500). In version 3.7.1 some bugs have been fixed:

AmiBlitz: AmiBlitz game template North 1.00
Sami Vehmaa's 'North' is an engine developed with AmiBlitz 3, in which you control a character that walks in an isometric view through a winter landscape. Collision detection or even real gameplay are not yet implemented, but there is a level editor. The author would like North, which requires AGA, to be understood as a template that anyone interested can develop into a fully-fledged game themselves.

Platform game: Space Patrol
José 'jojo073' Gonzáles has released another game, "Space Patrol", which can be obtained from him by e-mail as an ADF file or purchased as a physical product.
The Jump 'n' Run game (video), drawn in the style of the 80s and based on illustrations of the 60s, has six levels in 32 colors, fits on a floppy disk and requires a 68020 processor and Fast RAM for an acceptable speed.

If you want to replace lost or stained rubber feet of an Amiga 500, 600 or 1200 with the original product manufactured continuously by 3M over the last 45 years, you can obtain this article from the Canadian dealer "Retro Rewind" at the title link, for example. Emulator hardware: ARM accelerated video playback for A1200NG and A600GS
As announced by AmigaKit, the next update will install the PlayVideo tool, enabling ARM accelerated video playback. (video).
MPEG video files can be played either on the AmiBench screen or in full-screen mode. They can also be started using the corresponding Def icons.

MorphOS: openssl3.library update for MorphOS 3.19
Press release: A new version of MorphOS OpenSSL3 library has been released. This version includes fixes for two minor security vulnerabilities: CVE-2024-9143 and CVE-2024-13176. More importantly, it adds functionality enabling support for QUIC protocol, allowing applications to implement the latest version of the hypertext transfer protocol (i.e. HTTP/3).
While neither the vulnerabilities fixed, nor the new features added are absolutely necessary, you can install this version of openssl3.library to benefit from the improvements already with MorphOS 3.19: Download
To install it, copy the file to MOSSYS:Libs and reboot.

7-bit: Firmware version 0.45 for Bluetooth adapter

Image editor: PyDPainter 2.2.0 for Windows, macOS and Linux (update)
The image editor PyDPainter is inspired by DPaint and according to its author Mark Riale an attempt to create a usable pixel art program in Python using PyGame that can handle low resolutions and limited colour palettes and which can be as easy to use as possible (amiga-news.de reported). Preview video: Breakout clone Freak-Out
Michael Kafke already presented a preview version of his breakout clone "Freak-Out" at the Amiga Ruhrpott Convention (ARC) in Germany in 2023 (amiga-news.de reported). Now he shows in a new preview video the current state of his game, which is to run on an Amiga 500 and should offer 100 levels, 64-colour background graphics and a convenient level editor. He hopes to release the game on the Amiga40 in autumn 2025.

Amiga Games That Weren't: Gilbert Goodmate
"Gilbert Goodmate and the Mushroom of Phungoria" is a point'n'click adventure game that was to be released for the Amiga in 1998. "Games That Weren't" has found a playable preview of the title described as "inspired by Monkey Island", as well as screenshots and a video.

Legal dispute: Hyperion can be held liable for copyright infringements
In April 2023, Hyperion won the first lawsuit with Mike Battilana and his
partners: The judge had essentially ruled that the plaintiffs Amino, Itec and Amiga Inc. could not sue for breach of contract or copyright infringement and that the only party entitled to sue - Amiga Corporation - should not be added as a plaintiff to the current proceedings due to a technicality and that it would have to sue separately. The so-called
"Amiga parties" appealed against all three decisions.
