AmigaOS 4: Plattformer REminiscence 0.5.1 (Flashback)
REminiscence ist eine neugeschriebene Engine für das Spiel Flashback von Delphine Software. Das Programm ist als plattformübergreifender Ersatz für das Originalspiel gedacht. Nach der von Bruno 'BeWorld' Peloille portierten MorphOS-Version hat George 'walkero' Sokianos nun die Engine auch auf AmigaOS 4 portiert. Die Originaldateien der PC- (DOS oder CD), Amiga- oder Macintosh-Version werden benötigt. (dr)

Vorschau-Video: Plattformer "Krogharr"
Neben dem Shoot'em Up Hyperblaster (Inviyya 2) arbeitet Michael 'Tigerskunk' Borrmann an dem Plattformer Krogharr, für das er nun ein erstes Vorschau-Video veröffentlicht hat und das auf einem Amiga 500 mit 1 MB RAM laufen soll. Eine erste Demoversion soll im Oktober erscheinen. (dr)

Programmierung: Deutsche Übersetzung des "Stash of Code"-Assemblerkurses
Vor einem Jahr berichteten wir über Göran Stracks deutsche Übersetzung des "Corso completo di programmazione assembler in due dischi". Nun hat er die deutsche Übersetzung des "Stash of Code"-Assemblerkurses beendet, die er bereits 2018 begonnen hatte. Wie er uns gegenüber erläutert, "ist dies kein Kurs von A bis Z, der aufbauend lehrt. Es ist eine Artikelserie, die einerseits Themen wie zum Beispiel Sprite, Bob, Copper zusammenfasst, aber auch die Codierung von Demoeffekten zeigt und unter anderem 1-Pixel-Sinusscroller, Zoom oder RGB-Plasma erklärt. In den Quellen versteckt sich dann aber immer noch der ein oder andere Trick. Die Artikelserie setzt also Wissen voraus und ist daher eher etwas für Fortgeschrittene." (dr)

Diashows erstellen und Videoplayer: RNOSlides für alle Amiga-Systeme
Der Entwickler 'jPV' hat sein bereits umfangreiches Portfolio an RNO-Anwendungssoftware um ein weiteres Tool ergänzt: RNOSlides ist ein Programm zum Erstellen von Diashows (MJPEG/AVI-Format), welches diese in Echtzeit abspielen kann (YouTube-Video). Darüberhinaus kann es auch Videos in verschiedenen Formaten abspielen und ist somit als allgemeiner Videoplayer zu verwenden. (dr)

Amiga-Emulator: vAmigaWeb - Display- und Tastaturanpassungen
Bei vAmigaWeb handelt es sich um einen Amiga-Emulator für den Web-Browser bzw. um eine Progressive Web App (PWA) auf Basis des Amiga-Emulators für MacOS vAmiga.
Durch das neue Update wird nun auch der bei den iPhones vorhandene Notch- bzw. Dynamic-Island-Bereich im Display voll ausgenutzt (vgl. hierzu einen Artikel bei Macwelt). Darüberhinaus hat Entwickler 'mithrendal' die virtuelle Joystick- und Tastaturbelegung überarbeitet. (dr)

Demoparty: Ergebnisse der Nordlicht 2023
Vergangenes Wochenende fand in Bremen die Nordlicht-Demoparty 2023 statt (amiga-news.de berichtete). Nun sind die Ergebnisse auf Pouet verfügbar und auch drei Amiga-Produktionen haben es in die Ranglisten geschafft: in der "512 Byte Compo" haben AttentionWhore mit hypotrain den dritten Platz belegt (YouTube-Video).
In der Kategorie "Realtime Demo Compo (Oldschool)" haben Resistance mit old'scool den zweiten Platz (YouTube-Video) und der Soundtrack zum gerade erst veröffentlichten ASM - Das Computer-Spiel (The Director's Cut) den achten Platz belegt (YouTube-Video). (dr)

Visual Novel: Mansion of Madness
Sami Vehmaa hat mit AmiBlitz 3 sein erstes Visual Novel Spiel veröffentlicht: in "Mansion of Madness" wird man von der Reporterin Erica angeheuert, um nach dem vermissten YouTuber Jasko zu suchen. Er wollte den Mythos eines dämonischen Wesens untersuchen und ist nun verschwunden (YouTube-Video). Laut Autor bietet das Spiel eine durchschnittliche Spielzeit von 15 Minuten mit fünf verschiedenen Ausgängen. Benötigt werden mindestens ein Amiga mit 68030-Prozessor und 30 MB RAM. (dr)

ASM - Das Computer-Spiel (The Director's Cut) veröffentlicht
Das im Mai angekündigte Spiel zur von 1986 bis 1995 erschienenen Computerspielezeitschrift "ASM - Aktueller Software Markt" ist nun erhältlich.
Entstanden aus einem Programmierwettbewerb im Jahr 1991 wurde das Grafikadventure zwölf Monate lang unter Mithilfe damaliger Redakteure überarbeitet, erweitert und mit neuer Musik von Roland 'Triace' Voß versehen, sodass es jetzt - "gerade einmal 32 Jahre später" - als "Director's Cut" vollendet werden konnte.
Als Chef-Redakteur Manfred 'Manni' Kleimann bewegt sich der Spieler in Point-and-Click-Manier aus der Ich-Perspektive wie bei "Die Kathedrale" oder "Uninvited" durch das Redaktionsgebäude und versucht, dem Geheimnis des eigenen Gedächtnisverlustes auf die Spur zu kommen. Das Spiel nimmt sich dabei zu keiner Sekunde ernst und möchte Freunde des Humors à la "Spaceballs", "Die nackte Kanone" oder Monty Python auf ihre Kosten kommen lassen.
Neben einer Download-Version gibt es das Spiel auch als physisches Produkt, das zusätzlich zur CD für Amigas mit entsprechendem Laufwerk, einschließlich CDTV und CD³², auch ein Poster, drei Diskettenaufkleber, einen ASM-Holzwürfel und ein 20-seitiges Handbuch (im optischen Stil einer ASM von 1991) enthält. Stefan Bayer hat für das Handbuch exklusiv einen brandneuen "Donald Bug"-Comic beigesteuert.
"ASM - Das Computer-Spiel" läuft auf jedem Amiga ab Kickstart 1.3 mit mindestens 1 MB RAM. Ein Festplatten-Installer ist ebenfalls dabei. Gesteuert wird mittels Tastatur und Maus, die Verwendung eines Joysticks ist optional. Empfohlen werden eine Festplatte mit 3 MB freiem Speicher sowie 2 MB RAM. (snx)

Plattformspiel: Boxx 2 Remake 0.1
Wie bereits bei den Teilen 1 und 3 hat der Entwickler dieser Plattformspielreihe nun auch "Boxx 2" von Backbone auf die Scorpion-Engine umgestellt und die Grafiken verbessern lassen. (snx)
