Mai Logic Inc. erhält "Ready for IBM Technology"-Zertifikat
Mai Logic Incorporated, ein Technologiehaus für die Entwicklung
von integrierten Halbleiterschaltungen und -systemen, hat am 10.
Februar 2003 bekannt gegeben, dass eine "Ready for IBM-Gültigkeit"
für den Articia S Systemcontroller und die Teron CX und Teron
PX Evaluations-System-Boards für IBMs 750CXe und 750FX PowerPCTM

FREMONT, CA. February 10, 2003. Mai Logic Incorporated, a
technology design house of integrated circuits/systems,
announced today that it has achieved "Ready For IBM Technology"
validation for its Articia S system controller and Teron CX
and Teron PX evaluation system boards for IBM's 750CXe and
750FX PowerPCTM processors based applications.

devices and reference designs for PowerPCTM microprocessor
application platforms which have passed a rigorous PowerPCTM compatibility validation testing process by IBM Microelectronics

Technology' chipset and evaluation systems give developers more

Articia S
Articia S is the first in the Articia family of chipsets
designed with the revolutionary "Bus-Centric" methodology
to achieve a more balanced and efficient architecture serving
both CPU and peripheral bus requirements. Articia S can
support single- or dual-processors at 133MHz CPU bus speed.
It is also the first commercialized system controller to
provide AGP support for RISC processor based systems.

Teron
Teron CX and Teron PX evaluation systems are generic ATX
motherboards built with PowerPCTM processors. The former is
the first PowerPCTM processor based board with enhanced AGP
option and the latter equipped with a 300-pin MegArray
connector, provides easy configuration to a range of
development platforms driven by single-processor and
dual-processor CPU module cards (including the latest
PowerPCTM 750FX processor).
The "Ready for IBM Technology" program is developed to help
OEMs identify hardware or software of IBM Business Partners
that have received validation with IBM's products. Eligible
participants must complete the validation process to obtain
the approval and use of the "Ready for IBM Technology emblem
as well as to further distinguish their product listings in

e.p.i.c.: Knobelspiel BoXiKoN für MorphOS verfügbar
Das süchtigmachendes Knobelspiel BoXiKoN von e.p.i.c. interactive wurde
heute für MorphOS fertig gestellt. Ursprünglich für den Amiga entwickelt,
erfreut sich das Spiel wachsender Beliebtheit auf verschiedenen Desktop-
und Handheldplattformen, inkl. Macintosh, Windows und PocketPC.
BoXiKoN ist ein fesselndes neues Knobelspiel, bei dem strategische Planung
und Logik im Vordergrund stehen. Obwohl das Spiel in die Familie der
Steinfallspiele gehört, ist es doch auf vielfache Weise völlig anders.
Bei Boxikon geht es weniger um schnelle Reflexe als vielmehr um sorgfältige

What's new:
- BUGFIX:
The auto full screen mode at TVWatch startup caused a system crash.
- CHANGED:
The old tvtest utility is gone! TVCardDump is taking over from now!
- FEATURE:
Activated the OpenPCI support for the public. Don't blame me if the
stuff is slow or just crashing. The OpenPCI support is testet and
working fine. The driver may not work correct due the endian trouble.

Workbench: Scalos Beta-Archiv Version 40.27
Von der Workbench-Alternative Scalos wurde die Beta-Version 40.27
zum Download bereitgestellt. Des Weiteren steht ein neues Modul namens
WBRexx plugin V39.15 zur Verfügung.
Die neue Version 40.27 enthält folgende Änderungen bzw. Verbesserungen:
- Bugfix: In 40.27, WBStartup execution of ARexx type icons was broken - Fixed
- Feature: Added display of estimated remaining time to file copy/move progress dialog
- Bugfix: Window backfill pattern re-layout didn't occur when "backdrop" was turned on and off
- Bugfix: Fixed enforcer hits/crashes during window zoom/resize when "always relayout" was enabled (code tried to use ptn_bitmap after FreeBitMap())
- Bugfix: Added locking mechanism for asynchronous backfill to avoid crashes when windows are closed while async backfill process hasn't finished
- Bugfix: Fixed enforcer hits when CLI project icon contained no default tool
- Improvement: Program list now contains full path for each program started instead of only program name
- New feature: Added SCA_ScalosControl() subcommand to get/free list of menu commands
- Bugfix: Cut & Paste didn't work when AsyncWB was installed - Fixed
- New feature: Added new FONT and VALIGN attributes to TOOLTIP STRING

Rupert Hausberger hat Version 0.923 seines Benchmark-Tools für AmigaOS und
MorphOS veröffentlicht.

Ein Benchmark-Programm ermittelt die Leistungsfähigkeit eines Computers.
Dabei werden, je nach Funktionsumfang der Software, die Geschwindigkeit
(Datendurchsatz) der verschiedenen Komponenten eines Rechners gemessen.
Zu den messbaren Einzelkomponenten gehören die CPU (Central Processing
Unit), der Hauptspeicher, die GPU (Grahipcal Processing Unit), der
Grafikspeicher und Datenspeicherlaufwerke, wie z. B. Festplatten und
CD-ROM-Laufwerke.

Elbox: Spider gathers USB 2.0 High-Speed
ELBOX COMPUTER is pleased to announce that from now on, Amiga has
the possibility of using new generation USB 2.0 devices in the
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed mode. This has become possible with the Spider EHCI USB
driver developed by Elbox for the MEDIATOR PCI busboard series.
When Spider USB 2.0 controller was released in September 2002, it
was supplied with the OHCI USB 1.1 driver. EHCI USB 2.0 support was
lacking but promised as soon as possible. Today Elbox made good on
that promise. The Spider EHCI USB Hi-Speed driver is now included
in the Spider CD. All registered Spider users are now receiving
this new driver as a free update.
USB 2.0 is the fastest USB standard released so far, supporting data
speeds up to 480Mbps, that is 40 times faster than USB 1.1. This makes USB
2.0 an ideal technology for external storage devices, digital cameras,
webcams and much more.
Spider USB 2.0 card features:
- Five USB 2.0 Hi-Speed ports: four external ports and one internal port
- Compatible with both USB 2.0 (480Mbps) and USB 1.1 (12Mbps) devices
- Compliant with EHCI, OHCI and PCI 2.2 standards
- All ports can handle Hi-Speed, Full-Speed and Low-Speed transaction

The libs drawers content is using a complete different layout. This should
be the final state. I strongly suggest to use the installer to get a proper
installation!
