Auf der Messe stellte Randall Hughes, Amiga Inc., den Sharp Zaurus PDA
laufend mit AmigaDE und einigen Spielen vor.

Streckenplaner: Update zu AmiATLAS 6
Zum Streckenplaner 'AmiATLAS 6' wurde das erste kleinere Update
veröffentlicht, welches registrierten Kunden ab sofort zur
Verfügung steht.
Behoben wurden z.B. die Fehler bei den Assigns und Pfadangaben.
Außerdem ist 'AmigaAUTO' nun wieder voll integriert lauffähig.
Das erste umfangreichere Update mit z.B. mehrsprachiger Version von AmiATLAS
wird gegen Mitte Dezember erscheinen.
Die Updates sind bis zum 30. Juni 2002 kostenlos zu haben.

Absolute Highlights für uns waren zum einen das Spiel Freespace und
die Vorführung des Pegasos-Systems am Stand von bplan.
Leider fanden wir, dass die Messe eine kleine Katastrophe war, was

Datatypes: akPNG V44.130
Am 18. November 2001 hat Andreas Kleinert die Version
44.130 seines PNG-Datatypes 'akPNG' für 68k- und PPC-Prozessoren
veröffentlicht.
'akPNG' benutzt nun die Version 1.2.0 der 'libpng'.

CD³²-/CDTV-Emulator: Screenshots zu 'Akiko'
Auf der Airsoft Softwair Homepage
wurden neue Screenshots vom CD³²- und CDTV-Emulator 'Akiko'
für Windows-Systeme veröffentlicht.
Es steht nun fest, dass der Emulator als Shareware erscheinen wird
und damit kann er ab sofort bestellt werden.
Eine öffentliche Demoversion wird in naher Zukunft veröffentlicht
werden. Wer Akiko jetzt bestellt, erhält die
aktuelle Beta-Version, die schon die meisten CD³²-/CDTV-Spiele
emuliert.
Die veröffentlichten Screenshots zeigen u.a. die
jetzt viel flexiblere GUI sowie den eingebauten CD-Player des
CD³²-/CDTV in Aktion.

AMIGA 2001: Vorabbericht 2. Tag von amiga-news.de
Das interessanteste des zweiten Messetages war zweifelsohne unser Gespräch mit
Ben Hermans, Thomas und Hans-Jörg Frieden von Hyperion Entertainment über
AmigaOS 4.0 für PPC. Es steht fest und ist vertraglich gesichert, dass
Hyperion AmigaOS 4.0 für PPC entwickeln wird. Angestrebter Fertigstellungstermin
ist Februar 2002.
Hyperion wird mit bplan zusammenarbeiten, damit AmigaOS 4.0 PPC auch auf
dem Pegasos-Rechner laufen wird. Hyperion hat außerdem mit vielen anderen
Hardware- und Software-Entwicklern gesprochen, damit auch deren Produkte
zu AmigaOS 4.0 kompatibel sind. Damit wurde ein sehr positives Zeichen gesetzt,
denn es wird nach langer Zeit wieder eine gemeinsame Linie und Zielsetzung
verfolgt. (ps)

Programmiersprache: PowerD V0.19
Am 18. November 2001 hat Martin Kuchinka die Alphaversion 0.19
der Programmiersprache 'PowerD' veröffentlicht.
Diese frühe Alphaversion unterstützt nun die Erstellung
von Shared-Libraries.

AMIGA 2001: IRC-Konferenzen mit Nerding und Garlich (Update)
Inzwischen sind englischsprachige Logs der IRC-Konferenzen mit Markus Nerding von Haage&Partner und Michael Garlich von Titan verfügbar.
Markus Nerding beantwortet im Chat insbesonders Fragen zu AmigaOS Xl, AmigaOS V4.0 und der Arbeit von H&P innerhalb dieser Projekte.

Titan: to connect an "old" Amiga drive may be later also PC-Floppy with modifications too
zacman: hi michael. do you plan to release your software together with the pegasos start or already before? and are there plans for bundeling your software with pegasos?
Titan: Nico4k there is a floppy connector for PC Floppys on the Bplan mainboard

Titan: Bifford: This really depends on the used CPU we think for DV Videoediting a 500 G4 is the minimum. ga
Nico4k: As you devellop for MorphOS/bPlan, I suppose you already use it on Bplan, So how does it work ? (sorry for all this MOS related question but I want to konw)
Titan: Nico4k It runs really good we are sadisfied with the support of the MOrphos Team. ga
AlphaFoX: hi Titan, two questions: 1. do you know if there will be an 'AGA-on-a-Card' for the Pegasos? 2. Will
Titan: port its software also to AmigaOS 4.x if available? GA
Titan: AlphaFoX: AGA card is atm not longer in development but if there is more demand we can think about such a solution

Update der Scanner Farbkorrektur Software ICS auf V2.03
Die kostenlose Scanner-Farbkorrektursoftware 'ICS' ist in der
Version 2.03 auf
http://www.ics.coloraid.de
erhältlich.
Die neue Version läuft jetzt bis August 2002 und bringt einige
Verbesserungen bei den unterstützten Dateiformaten. So werden
jetzt einige TIFF-Bilder erheblich schneller geladen. MacBinary-Dateien
werden jetzt automatisch erkannt. Ein paar kleine
Fehler wurden beseitigt. (sd)

Veranstaltung: Bericht zur 'AMIGA Freunde Party'
Mario Schröder schreibt:
Heute ging die 'AMIGA Freunde Party' in Mutterstadt zu Ende.
Die Veranstaltung war wieder ein voller Erfolg.
Mehr als 14 AMIGA Freunde hatten ihr Rechnersystem aufgebaut.
Zahlreiche Besucher konnten sich so von der Leistungsfähigkeit des
AMIGA überzeugen.
Desweiteren waren einige AMITHLON- und AMIGA OS XL-Systeme zu bewundern.
Hier konnte man die Stärken und Schwächen der beiden Systeme vergleichen.
Mehrere Vorträge - per Beamer auf die Leinwand übertragen - fanden viel
Anklang. Der Autor von Digital Almanac, Achim Stegemann, erklärte die
Grundfunktionen seines Programms.
Volkmar Funke ließ uns in seine Trickkiste blicken und zeigte Effekte
mit Pagestream. Auch die Vorführung 'LINUX auf dem AMIGA' von Nils
Bronstert konnte voll überzeugen.
Die Internetanbindung per Netzwerk und 56K Modem funktionierte.
Demnächst wird auf unserer Homepage ein kurzer Bericht über unsere
Novemberparty erscheinen.
Die Termine für die nächste Party werden ebenfalls demnächst
veröffentlicht. (sd)
