amiga-topcool meldet sich zurück
Nach einer längeren "Denkpause" meldet sich das Amiga-Printmagazin wieder
zurück: Bunt und rund. Soll heißen, die amiga-topcool erscheint ab der
Herbstausgabe statt in Form eines Printmagazins, als CD-ROM. Das können
unsere Abonnenten erwarten:
- Ein buntes Layout, dass sich am Print-Layout orientiert und dennoch im HTML-Format lesbar ist.
- Mehr Seiten, da wir von Druckkosten nun nicht mehr abhängig sind.
- Die Möglichkeit, seinen Amiga-Club ausführlich zu bewerben - 10 MB Speicherplatz stellen
wir jedem Amiga-Club kostenlos zur Verfügung.
- Die neueste PD-Software, sowie Demoversionen.
Wie oft die amiga-topcool erscheinen wird, hängt von der Tatkraft unserer
Mitarbeiterschar ab, die hoffentlich noch wachsen wird. Die CD wird wie
folgt untergliedert sein:
- 10 HTML-Seiten Aktuell (Interviews, Ticker, Pressemeldungen)
- 10 HTML-Seiten Anwendung (Tests, Neuheiten, Previews, Thema)
- 10 HTML-Seiten Spiel und Spaß (Preview, News, Tests, Classic-Tests, Cheats)
- 10 HTML-Seiten Community (Amigaclubliste - mit 10 MB Speicherplatz pro
Club, Händlerliste - mit Webauftritten auf CD, Leserreaktionen, etc.)
- Software (PD, Demos, vielleicht auch Commerz-Vollversionen)
Nähere Infos folgen in wenigen Tagen auf unserer Internetseite, die
sich auch ein neues Aussehen verdienen wird. Der Preis der CD
beträgt 10,- DM (inklusive Versand).

Volltext-Aminet-Suchmaschine im Alpha-Test
Ich habe vor ein paar Stunden eine einigermaßen fertige Version meiner
Aminet-Volltext-Suchmaschine fertiggestellt. Man findet sie erstmal
auf meinem lokalen Amiga 4000 unter der URL http://213.196.87.182/
(Titellink).
Volltext heißt, dass auch die ca. 100 MB der 70000 Readme-Dateien
durchsucht werden. Normalerweise dauern Suchanfragen unter 2 Sekunden.
Ich bitte, das mal auszuprobieren und Verbesserungsvorschläge bald
möglichst einzureichen. Happy Alpha-Testing!

Veranstaltung: World of Amiga South East
So are we! On Saturday 3rd of November 2001 the World of Amiga
Southeast show is taking place at Poplars Hall, Shenfield, Essex, UK.
This is the ideal opportunity for you to come along and show all those
who that think the Amiga market is dead where they can shove it!
We have worked tirelessly to bring you some of the biggest names in the
Amiga Industry to World of Amiga Southeast 2001
Amiga, Elbox, Eyetech, Cloanto, & Pagan Games are amongst those who are attending the show ready to see in the new era of Amiga Computing with the eminent launch of the AmigaOne/SharkPPC Zico Spec Machines and beyond.
James Daniels, Paul Burkey and Fleecy Moss, are just some of the Amiga Celebes will be in attendance at WoA Southeast.
However, all our hard work will be for nothing if we have a poor turnout.
We need every one to come along and show the world that we want an alternative to the dull and bloated OS that has afflicted the masses in the computing world.

dass die Übernahme durch Henning Schlautmann erfolgreich war. Ab dem
01.11.2001 wird nun Henning Schlautmann die CD³² Outside weiterführen bzw.
betreuen. Fragen, Kritik und Vorschläge betreffend der CD³² Outside bitte
an ihn richten. Die 4.Ausgabe der CD³² Outside muss demnach bis zum

4.3 beta für G-Rex zum Download bereit. In dieser Version ist eine

Datatypes: Neue Versionen von Oliver Roberts
Oliver Roberts hat seine Warp-Datatypes aktualisiert. Seit gestern stehen
folgende Versionen zum Download bereit:
- WarpJPEG.datatype 44.25 - JFIF-JPEG picture datatype (68k,PPC/WarpOS,PPC/MorphOS)
- WarpPNG.datatype 44.21 - PNG picture datatype (68k,PPC/WarpOS,PPC/MorphOS)

Amiga Active Magazine Announces Major Changes
Amiga Active, the world's leading Amiga magazine, is undergoing significant
changes to meet the challenges of a changed marketplace. With the first
consumer version of the next generation Amiga environment, the AmigaDE
player, finally available to the public, Amiga have stepped into the
future, and Amiga Active magazine is following suit.
Issue 26 of Amiga Active magazine will be released on the 25th of October.
This issue will contain the normal mix of forward-looking and "Classic Amiga"
content, including the most detailed preview of the Amiga DE to date,
revealing for the first time much of what is actually going into the
next-generation Operating Environment which Amiga are building on top
of the binary-portable intent JTE (Java Technology Edition) multimedia
engine from Tao Group. This will be the last time that Amiga's journey
into the next generation will be a matter of previews and predictions.
The next generation has arrived.
Amiga Active has been preparing for this from the very beginning. Since
the very first issue we have been covering the revolution taking place
in computing, and over recent months our coverage has increased through
our ever-expanding "Next Generation" section. We are now taking the
magazine itself into the next stage with a change in focus, and a
change in name - to digital.

Zeoneo website launched
The Zeoneo website is now online
with details of its two new releases for AmigaDE: Convex and Planet
Zed.
Until now, Zeoneo was a company that relatively few people knew about.
Indeed, it may suprise many people to know that we have been working behind
the scenes for well over a year now. In that time, experience and understanding
of the systems that make up AmigaDE has been gained and used to develop our
first two PDA-targetted titles.
Convex is an addictive puzzle game where the objective of each of the 25
levels is to remove all the marbles.
Planet Zed is a vertical scroll shoot 'em up game that borrows many of its
features from the classic Bitmap Brothers game Xenon2.

Neue Downloads auf der NARR Seite
Auf der NARR Seite können Sie ein farbenfrohes Imageset im
Glowicons-Stil für MUIVideo (wurde vor einiger Zeit für die Amiga Arena
freigegeben) downloaden.
Außerdem gibt es, neben anderen kleinen Änderungen auf meiner Seite,
ein neues Skin (SolarCalc) für CoolCALC, das von Klaus Licha angefertigt

Spiel: Deutsche Payback-Homepage online
Nun endlich ist die inoffizielle deutsche Payback-Homepage online gegangen.
Hier gibt es neben verschiedenen Infos auch ein Forum sowie einige kleine
Tipps zum Spiel.
Desweiteren möchten wir nochmal darauf hinweisen, dass wir auch
Probleme/Bugs sammeln und an James Daniels weiterleiten.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Ihr hattet gerade euren 4.000.000sten Besucher,
nämlich mich. Mit Hilfe eines durch Netscape erzeugten Ausdrucks (PS-Datei)
kann ich das Ganze auch noch untermauern. Gibts jetzt einen Preis? :-)
