Warp9 feiert
Wir haben gleich zwei Dinge auf einmal zu feiern:
- Warp9 wird in diesen Tagen 3 Jahre alt
- Das wARPgATe hat sein erstes Jahr hinter sich
Grund genug für uns, wieder eine Counter-Competition zu starten.
Wir haben einen Counter auf einer extra Geburtstags-Seite installiert.
Finde diese Seite und sei der 3000ste Besucher. Jeder der uns ein
Screenshot mit der glücklichen Nummer 3000 schickt wird an der
Endausscheidung teilnehmen. Dann hast du die Chance, eine brandneue 20
GB Festplatte von Quantum zu gewinnen. Wir werden von allen E-Mails,

Der deutsche Bereich der Amiga 4 Ever Projekt (kurz A4EP) Homepage hat
ein Update erhalten. Dort ist u.a. ein Interview mit Petro Tyschtschenko
vom 4.2.2000 zu finden.
Ferner gibt es jetzt einen Steckbrief zu den Hauptmitgliedern von A4EP.

Start der -Amiga Internet Live Installation- (ALII)
Im Rahmen des Projekts ALII hat die Webseite ein neues Layout erhalten
und ein Forum integriert. Die jetzigen Schwerpunkte liegen beim ALII
(weitere Information auf der Webseite) und Grafikverarbeitung auf dem
Amiga. Also schaut mal vorbei.
AMIGA INTERNET LIVE INSTALLATION (ALII)
Installation eines A4000, jeder kann an den Vorüberlegungen teilnehmen.
Die einzelnen Schritte werden anschließend dokumentiert dargestellt.
Einschließlich eines Archiv mit den Protokollen der Installation,
Screenshots und einer Linkliste für die eingesetzte Software. (ps)

Börsensoftware Bonds mit Verzögerung
Auf Grund eines Uploadfehlers wurde das Archiv wieder gelöscht.
Deshalb ist die aktuelle Version noch nicht verfügbar.
Gestern Nacht wurde ein neuer Versuch gestartet, sodass das
Archiv eigentlich bereits im Aminet unter biz/misc zum Download
bereit liegen müsste. Die Verzögerung hatte auch sein Gutes:
Es konnten gleich noch ein paar Fehler entfernt werden, sodass
die aktuelle Version nunmehr 1.61 ist. (ps)

Unsere Öffnungszeiten über Karneval:
Am 02.03. (Weiberfastnacht) und vom 04.03. bis 07.03. bleibt unser
Geschäft geschlossen.
Insolvenz von Phase5:
Alle Kunden, die bei mir G4 Turbokarten von Phase5 bestellt haben
werden von mir infomiert, sobald die G3 Turbokarte von der Firma Metabox
lieferbar werden. Evtl. schon geleistete Anzahlungen werden dann mit diesen
Karten verrechnet. Wer mit dieser Regelung nicht einverstanden ist, kann
natürlich auch seine Anzahlung zurückerhalten.
Laut Aussage der Firma Metabox auf der CEBIT werden die Karten für den
A1200 im April erscheinen, die Versionen für A2/3/4000 kommen erst im

A500 Power Board wieder verfügbar
Speichererweiterung für Amiga 500 - und noch mehr!
Das A500 Power Board arbeitet genau wie eine normale 512K Speichererweiterung
für Amiga 500. Einfach in den Schacht Ihres A500 einstecken und Sie
können über 1 Megabyte Speicherkapazität verfügen!
Power Board bietet aber noch mehr. Zusätzlich zum 512K FastRAM wird Ihr
Amiga 500 auch einen RAM Drive mit extra 512K erhalten. Die
Speicherkapazität für diese RAM Drive wird nicht aus dem Speicher
des Systems entnommen - es ist auch in der Karte enthalten!
Aber das ist nicht alles: Power Board bringt Ihren Amiga in die PC-Welt.
Ein NEC V30 16-bit Mikroprozessor ist im Power Board montiert und
kann MS-Dos bis zur 6.22-Version ausführen. Die Power-Board-Software
wird Ihren Amiga 500 in ein PC verwandeln, unter Verwendung des im
Amiga 500 eingebauten Input- und Output- Ports, sowie der Amiga Custom
Chips für Video-Emulationen. Komplett mit SoundBlaster Emulation.
Last but not least: Power Board wird mit einer batterie-gepufferten Uhr
geliefert, damit Ihr Amiga stets die Zeit verfolgen kann!
Those who own and use an Amiga 500 can come across the problem of not
being able to replace a defective memory expansion for their computer.
Well, not anymore. The A500 Power Board is available again.
The expansion board offers the following features:
- 512 K memory expansion to be configured as fast memory or chip
memory (depending on Agnus version)
- 512 K ramdrive
- PC emulation through hardware (16-bit NEC CPU)
- Real-time-clock

You could be the winner of a new Amiga Developer System. That's
right, an Amiga Developer System. Amiga Inc. is going to donate
one of their brand new "Developer Systems" to be given away as
a door prize.
Now I know you're going to ask... "What's a Developer System"?
Well... you're just going to have to come to the show to find
out.
Or, perhaps you might win one of two rides in a REAL airline
simulator. What's that you ask? Nothing less than the same
thing all the airline pilots are trained in. That's right, a
real full blown airline simulator with an instructor to show you
the ropes on just how to get one of those huge airline jets
off the ground, and of course back on the ground. Lot's of
knobs, swithches, buttons and they all work. Not like a
computer simulator where you move some wimpy joy stick or click
the keyboard. This is the real thing. You sit in the cockpit,
you're trained to move ailerons, rudders and elevators. You'll
move the yoke and control all the radios, navigation systems etc.
You'll be shown how to do takeoffs and landings. Maybe we'll even
show you stalls, buffets, and what the arch looks like at night
from 3,000 feet as you fly your approach into St. Louis. Of course,
all this is simulated, it just doesnt' feel like it. Because an
airline simulator is known to make you feel like your in the real
thing. On top of that, Amigan-St. Louis will give you a real logbook
that you can write your flight times in.
There are lot's more being donated too. If your company wants
to donate prizes to Amiga 2K, simply email Bob Scharp at
bscharp@icon-stl.net and tell him what you are sending. Then
email a web banner and a discription of the prize to him. He
will list you as soon as he confirms your prizes.
Don't forget, it's not too late to exhibit at Amiga 2K, the largest
Amiga show in the Americas. Just fill out the handy exhibitor
form. Go to http://www.amiga-stl.com/show.html and click on the
"Exhibitor" button. Then fill it out. You'll be glad you exhibited.

Alive Mediasoft News
Alive Mediasoft hat zwei neue Spiele ins Programm aufgenommen, die
sehr bald verfügbar sein sollen:
Ultimate XTreme Racing mit neuen Tracks, neuem Sound, neuer Musik, neuen
Gegnern und neuem Intro.
Giana Sisters Trilogy wird Mitte März verfügbar sein und einen Fix für
040/060/PPC und Grafikkartensupport beinhalten.
Die Spiele Goal 2000 und Whales Voyage 2 wurde teilweise verbessert.
Goal 2000 hat ein neues Intro bekommen ist nun leichter zu installieren.
In Whales Voyage 2 ist ein Manual hinzugekommen, hat ebenfalls ein
neues Intro und ist nun einfacher zu installieren.
Für diejenigen, die die beiden letztgenannten Spiele bereits gekauft
haben, wird Alive Mediasoft in Kürze Patches auf deren Website zur

Update zu Digital Almanac II
Die neueste Version des Astronomieprogrammes Digital Almanac II
(Rev. 1.8.8) steht allen Benutzern kostenlos zum Download von der
Homepage des Autors zur Verfügung. Ein Upload auf das Aminet ist
ebenfalls erfolgt, so dass das Archiv auch von dort bald geladen
werden kann.
Desweiteren möchte sich der Autor bei allen Teilnehmern der Umfrage
über DA-PPC bedanken. Das positive Ergebnis der Umfrage wird daher
Früchte tragen. Sobald DCE die Produktion der PPC-Karten aufnimmt,
wird DA in einer ersten Probeversion für WarpOS erscheinen. Der
PPC-Teil der Homepage wird daher, sobald die Portierung aktuell
wird, entsprechend erneuert.
