_New products_

*YGM* ("You've Got Mail") is a small and fast POP3 mail checker that
reads the required settings from a YAM configuration file. You can
tell YGM to start YAM or another program when it detects new mail.

*LocalServer* is a package that allows you to test your e-mail client by
setting up a local POP3/SMTP mail server. It's based on AmiTCP 4.0 demo.

_YAM and PGP 2.6_

YAM works with both versions of PGP, but personally I prefer version
2.6.3 because it's smaller, much faster and better integrates into
YAM than version 5.
First of all, install PGP 2 and create your key pair using pgp -kg.
The PGP2 directory has the following structure:

PGP2 (dir)
   bin (dir)
      pgp
   config.txt
   language.idx
   language.txt
   pubring.pgp
   randseed.bin
   secring.pgp

Assign PGP: to the PGP2 directory, then set the enviromental variable
PGPPath to 'PGP:'. In YAM/Configuration/Security, set the PGP Path
option to 'PGP:bin/'. If you want to edit or read encrypted messages
that have been written by you, switch on the 'Encrypt to self' option.

In config.txt, the following settings should be made:

Language = en
EncryptToSelf = off
PubRing = "PGP:pubring.pgp"
SecRing = "PGP:secring.pgp"
RandSeed = "PGP:randseed.bin"

_YAM and PGP 5_

First of all, install PGP 5 and create your key pair using pgpk -g.
The PGP5 directory has the following structure (please note that there
are two copies of randseed.bin!):

   keys50 (dir)
      pubring.pkr

Assign PGP: to the PGP5 directory, then set the enviromental variable
PGPPath to 'PGP:'. In YAM/Configuration/Security, set the PGP Path

In pgp.cfg, the following settings should be made:

Check the validity of the keys on your public keyring with pgpk -e and
validate them by signing with pgpk -s <userid>. You can't send encrypted
mail to someone whose key hasn't been trusted.

Please note that there's a bug in PGP5: If a message is encrypted for
more than one recipient (including you), PGP doesn't set an error code
as long as there is a valid key for at least one of the recipients.
For example, you try to encrypt a message for John and yourself:
There's no valid key for John, but there's one for you and PGP doesn't
tell YAM that encryption wasn't successful. The resulting message can
be read by you, but not by John!
